Hoheto Hyuga first appeared in Naruto Shippuden episode: 256, as he was standing in a line and arguing with Tango shinobi, but when Gaara gave his speech, everyone felt calm and composed. Hoheto was part of the Surprise Attack Division team led by Kankuro. They were in enemy territory and had set up a camp when they found a wounded teammate named Muta Aburame.

Hoheto noticed something strange about Muta's behavior and used his Byakugan to discover that instead of the usual insects in Muta's jar, there was explosive clay created by an enemy named Deidara. Hoheto quickly told everyone about this danger, and Ittan, another teammate, acted fast by changing the ground they were standing on to protect them from the explosion.

Later on, during a battle with another enemy group called the Surprise Attack and Diversion Platoon, Hoheto and his team encountered more enemies. They tried to run away but were caught in a poisonous mist released by an enemy called Ibuse. The mist made them unable to move. Luckily, the samurai from the Fifth Division came to their rescue and took them to a medical unit for treatment.

Hoheto is focused and observant, always keeping an eye on his surroundings and the actions of others. He is quick to notice abnormalities and reacts swiftly to protect his teammates. Hoheto is also responsible and takes his role seriously, ensuring the safety of his team and actively communicating important information.

Hoheto wears the regular uniform of a ninja from the Konoha village, including the forehead protector representing his allegiance to the Allied Shinobi Forces. Some of the noticeable features of his face are the distinct wrinkles under his eyes. He has a unique appearance due to being part of the Hyūga clan. Like others in his clan, he has white eyes without any visible pupils or irises. His hair is brown, and he ties it up in a bun on top of his head.

Hoheto is trained in combat and possesses excellent physical strength and agility. He can confidently engage in battles, using his skills to defend himself and his teammates. Hoheto is also quick to react and has a sharp awareness of his surroundings, allowing him to anticipate and avoid enemy attacks. One of his notable talents is his Byakugan, which allows him to see things with great clarity and even through obstacles. With his Byakugan activated, Hoheto can detect hidden dangers and gather valuable information about his surroundings.
