Ichikishimahime in Boruto

The details of Ichikishimahime's past are rather mysterious, and very little is known about her upbringing. In the anime, she only made a few brief appearances.

Ichikishimahime made her anime debut in Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations in episode 75, “The Trials of Ryuchi Cave”. In the episode, Boruto Uzumaki, the son of the Seventh Hokage, successfully completed Tagorihime's challenge but found himself separated from his friends. He stumbled upon Ichikishimahime who expressed her interest in him and his chakra. To prove his worth, she tasked him with a trial where he was trapped in a genjutsu in a cave. He needed to place differently shaped colored gemstones into holes on a boulder to escape.

After Boruto succeeded, Ichikishimahime claimed that he was a challenging meal and then vanished. Later, she observed Boruto and his group as they left to search for Garaga.

Ichikishimahime is a playful snake who likes to float and spin around while talking to Boruto. However, she also has a bad side and likes to eat chakra that is weak. She also describes herself as an honest person.

Her test is different from Togarihime's test. It requires a lot of thinking, and it makes the person tired. This shows that she is honest because she doesn't try to trick Boruto during the test. She only teases him when he takes breaks to think.

Despite her human-like appearance, Ichikishimahime is actually a creature and not a human. When in her disguised form, she has dark hair tied into two buns on either side of her head, bluish eyes, and fair skin. She wears a white and blue sleeveless robe, white sandals, and a pearl bracelet on her right arm. She also has a golden tiara, blue tomoe-shaped earrings, and red eyeshadow.

Ichikishimahime can float in the air and eat people's chakra. She can turn into a human-like form with snake-like features. She can cast a strong genjutsu that can make people see an illusion of a cave with colored gems and holes in a wall, which they must match with the right gems to break free.

Ichikishima-hime-no-mikoto (市杵島姫命), a Shinto name for Benzaiten, is most likely the inspiration for her name. In addition, it is one of the names of the three deities worshiped in Munakata Taisha.
