Joseki in Naruto

Joseki's journey begins with the arrival of Gaara, the jinchuriki of the One-Tail Shukaku. The village regarded Gaara as a failure, and this perception troubled Joseki. He recognized the importance of depending on the Fourth Kazekage's development of new techniques and the trading of gold to sustain the village's economy. It was clear that without these resources, the village would crumble.

Joseki was not content with merely safeguarding Sunagakure's financial stability. In the anime, he participated in discussions alongside other council members and Baki regarding the Four Celestial Symbols Men's invasion. Together, they decided to send the Three Sand Siblings, including Gaara, on a mission to rescue Matsuri. However, Joseki had a hidden agenda. His plan was to lead Gaara right into the enemy's grasp, thereby eliminating the threat he perceived Gaara to be to the village.

The turmoil within Sunagakure only deepened when the Fifth Kazekage, Gaara, was abducted by Akatsuki. Joseki's primary concern was to maintain peace within the village. From the beginning, he had reservations about Gaara's appointment as Kazekage, viewing him as a dangerous experiment gone awry. When Gaara was kidnapped, Joseki saw it as an opportunity to quickly elect a new Kazekage, a move that didn't sit well with Kankuro.

In the anime, after the Three Sand Siblings returned to the village following the Kage Summit conference, Joseki was seen in a meeting with them and other senior figures. They discussed the events at the Summit and the future actions of Sunagakure. Joseki's presence in these meetings hints at his continued influence within the village's political landscape.

Joseki is loyal to his village and wants the stability of his village anyhow. He even accepted the use of Gaara as a weapon to give his village power. He never liked Gaara and was quite cunning. He was also very clever and allowed Akatsuki to have Gaara.

Joseki wears a standard Suna Council outfit, which has a long light brown jumpsuit with a white turban. He had dark eyes and an old-looking face with lots of wrinkles.

Joseki never showed his ability, but he was one of the senior council of the Suna village.
