Kakeru was a kind king who ruled the Land of the Moon. His friend and advisor, Shabadaba, wanted to be king too, but Kakeru hoped he would understand his ideas of being good and helping others. Over time, Shabadaba didn't change, and Kakeru's soldiers advised him to deal with the problem. Kakeru sent his son and grandson away to keep them safe from the fighting.
Kakeru had plans to use the country's money to help the needy and lower taxes, which Shabadaba didn't like. Because of this, Shabadaba turned against Kakeru and hired a group of shinobi (Ishidate, Kongo, and Karenbana) to kill him. Kakeru was hurt while trying to escape, and his lower body turned to stone.
Most of the soldiers and ministers supported Shabadaba. When Kakeru met Michiru and Hikaru, his health got worse. Sakura Haruno tried to help him, but he was turned to stone for too long and couldn't be saved. He told his son and grandson to take over as the new king and prince in his last moments.
Kakeru was a kind and caring king who wanted to help others. He hoped his friend Shabadaba would also understand his good ideas, but Kakeru had to take action when Shabadaba didn't change. He cared about his family and wanted to make the country better for everyone.
