Kazami in Naruto

Kazami and his team participated in the Chūnin Exams organized by Konohagakure and Sunagakure. They took a written test and passed by earning enough points. They also competed in a race to Sunagakure and were among the first 30 teams to arrive, qualifying for the next round. A fight broke out during dinner, but Fu's cheerful presence stopped it. The second round took place in the Demon Desert.

Kazami's team collected three Heaven scrolls in the second round and encountered Team Kurenai. Kazami fought against Hinata Hyūga. They discovered that Kiba Inuzuka had the Earth scroll and took it from him. They traveled underground on Muyami's giant mole. Team Kurenai followed them and fell into a quicksand pit.

Kazami's team used an odor-masking technique to escape, but Team Kurenai found them again. They ambushed Team Kurenai but were tricked by clones. Team Kurenai explained that they used insects to hide their scent. Despite their own masking technique, Team Kurenai followed the scent on Burami's clothes.

They fought again, and Kiba's Three-Headed Wolf technique defeated Kazami's team. Team Kurenai obtained both a Heaven and Earth scroll.

Kazami is always ready to protect his friends, and he gets into a fight when someone causes harm to his teammate. He is very determined and never gives up easily on his mission. Kazami believes in the power of teamwork and supports his teammates wholeheartedly. He even cheers for them during battles by waving his flag.

Kazami wears a forehead protector from Kusagakure, a village symbol worn on the forehead. His outfit is unique and resembles the attire of a yakuza member, a type of organized crime group in Japan. He wears shoulder armor. Additionally, he carries a flag-like weapon, which he uses in combat or to symbolize his team. He has black hair that is styled in a slicked-back pompadour, with his hair combed back. He has small, dark-colored eyes and thick black eyebrows above them.

Kazami is good at close combat fighting, as he can take on multiple opponents without trouble. He uses a staff with a flag on it as his weapon and is skilled in using it. He can also use Wind Release to create powerful gusts of wind that can cut through things or send his enemies flying. He knows about techniques from different clans, like the Hyūga clan's Gentle Fist.
