Creation and History of King of Hell

The King of Hell Technique in the Naruto series is a powerful and enigmatic jutsu associated with the Rinnegan, one of the most prestigious and rare dojutsu in the Naruto world. This technique is utilized by Pain, also known as Nagato, who was the leader of the Akatsuki and a prominent character in the series.

The history of the King of Hell Technique can be traced back to Nagato's early life. Nagato was a gifted shinobi who, along with his friends Yahiko and Konan, lived in a war-torn and poverty-stricken Amegakure. During their time together, they witnessed the devastation caused by endless warfare and sought to bring peace to their homeland. Tragically, Yahiko died in a conflict, greatly affecting Nagato and leading him to embrace the Rinnegan.

The Rinnegan is a dojutsu that grants its user immense power, including the ability to control life and death. With this newfound power, Nagato adopted the alias "Pain" and formed the Akatsuki, a group of rogue ninjas to bring peace to the world through brutal methods.

The first time, Nagato used it against some shinobi of Konoha to know the location of Naruto Uzumaki. After some time, it was also used against Konohamaru Sarutobi, who defeated the Naraka Path of Pain with his Rasengan. It was also used to restore the Asura Path. When Nagato accepted his defeat, he used the King of Hell to restore the souls of people who died in the destruction.

Nagato also used it against Naruto Uzumaki and Killer B when Kabuto Yakushi used Reanimation jutsu on him, but it was Itachi Uchiha who defeated him which meant he wasn’t able to take Naruto's soul.

King of Hell’s Jutsu Abilities

The King of Hell Technique comes into play as part of Nagato's arsenal, symbolizing his mastery over life and death. It is often depicted as a grotesque, multi-eyed creature that emerges from the ground when summoned. This entity is used primarily for two purposes:

Extraction of Information

Pain uses the King of Hell Technique when he needs to extract information from captives or individuals who have defied him. In its presence, those subjected to its gaze are compelled to speak the truth, making it a formidable tool for interrogation.

Restoration of His Six Paths of Pain

Nagato's Six Paths of Pain are reanimated bodies, each representing a different power. When these bodies are damaged or destroyed in battle, the King of Hell Technique can repair and revive them, effectively giving Nagato a near-invincible fighting force.
