Komitsu and Omitsu are the younger brothers of Kodaka and Kiiro. Sadly, their parents passed away, leaving Kodaka and Kiiro to work freelance to support the family. This meant they were often away, leaving Omitsu and Komitsu to fend for themselves. Kodaka would send messages using his bees to tell them how much he missed them.
One day, Kiiro returned to Omitsu and Komitsu and shared the heartbreaking news that Kodaka had died while fighting a group called Akatsuki. However, Omitsu and Komitsu misunderstood and believed that Akatsuki was responsible for their brother's death. They held a grudge against Akatsuki and its members.
Kiiro decided to travel with Omitsu and Komitsu, selling honey made from his bees to support themselves. Their luck changed when they stumbled upon a special field of white flowers in the Valley of Lies. These rare flowers became crucial to their honey production, allowing them to settle down in the valley.
Recognizing the importance of the flowers for their livelihood, Kiiro warned Ōmitsu and Komitsu to avoid playing near them. In a beautiful field of flowers, Komitsu and Omitsu had a playful time pretending to be skilled ninjas. While playing, they used paper shuriken to throw at each other.
Ōmitsu was incredibly talented at throwing the shuriken, and Komitsu greatly admired his skills. They began collecting them from the ground as their shuriken supply ran out. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew the shuriken away, and Komitsu chased after them without realizing he was heading toward a dangerous ravine.
Just as Komitsu was about to go over the edge, a heroic figure named Sasuke Uchiha appeared and caught him in the nick of time, saving him from a terrible fall. Komitsu, trying to save face, pretended that he knew what he was doing. However, when Komitsu saw the relief in Ōmitsu's eyes, he gratefully thanked Sasuke for his intervention.
Impressed by Sasuke's remarkable abilities, Komitsu couldn't help but wonder if he was Naruto Uzumaki. Sasuke was taken aback by the question and remained silent, unintentionally reinforcing Komitsu's belief. Excitedly, Komitsu asked "Naruto" to train them, and Omitsu couldn't calm him down. Eventually, Sasuke agreed to help them but politely corrected their misunderstanding about his name.
After several hours of training under Sasuke's guidance, Komitsu's skills improved noticeably. He began hitting the targets he aimed at, feeling a sense of pride in his accomplishment. As the day turned into evening, Komitsu noticed that the sky was growing dark and the clouds were turning red, reminding him of something called Akatsuki.
However, Omitsu corrected Komitsu's misconception, explaining that "Akatsuki" actually referred to daybreak, not sunset. This realization left Komitsu deep in thought. Their encounter with Sasuke attracted the attention of Kiiro, who found them playing among the flowers once again. Kiiro, concerned for their safety, scolded both Komitsu and Omitsu.
Realizing their mistake, they sincerely apologized to Kiiro. They introduced Sasuke as the one who had saved Komitsu, despite Komitsu's initial protests. Kiiro instructed them to return home and fetch a bottle of medicinal honey as a gesture of gratitude for Sasuke's heroic act.
Following Kiiro's instructions, Komitsu and Ōmitsu dutifully retrieved the honey and brought Kiiro's infant son along. They presented the honey to Sasuke, expressing their appreciation. Sasuke graciously accepted the gift and bid them farewell. Before leaving, Komitsu and Omitsu waved goodbye, urging Sasuke to visit them again in the future.
Komitsu is a curious and enthusiastic person who looks up to Omitsu and admires his skills. Komitsu is eager to learn and improve, as seen when he asks Sasuke for training. Although sometimes impulsive, Komitsu is grateful and shows appreciation for the help he receives. He can be a bit stubborn, but deep down, he has a kind heart. Komitsu also feels a sense of responsibility towards his family, as shown when he tries to hide his fear and pretend to be brave.
Komitsu's abilities with Shuriken are decent but not better than his older brother Omitsu, and Komitsu admires him for his proficiency. He also knows how to make honey from the flowers he found in the Shangri-la.
