Rasengan was a jutsu that was invented by the Fourth Hokage after he witnessed a Tailed Beast Bomb. Minato would teach this Jutsu to his master, Jiraiya, who would teach it to Minato’s son, Naruto Uzumaki. Minato’s disciple, Kakashi Hatake would also learn this Jutsu.
Boruto Uzumaki, Naruto Uzumaki’s son, tries to learn how to use the Rasengan after Sasuke Uchiha posed it as a challenge to him. Wanting Sasuke’s recognition, Boruto works hard to learn the Rasengan. After trying, Boruto could barely make a Rasengan and in his frustration, he throws away his Rasengan, which Sasuke notices is effective.
Boruto uses this ability against Momoshiki after the Chunin exams were interrupted. This undetectable Jutsu can be used against unsuspecting foes. The downside of this Jutsu is that it can be easily dodged once the enemy finds out the gimmick.
Although Boruto invented this Jutsu, he barely uses it and relies on the actual Rasengan more often. This is due to the Vanishing Rasengan packing much less power than the actual Rasengan. In addition, it is also a one time gimmick that is easily dodgeable once the enemy finds out how it works.
Vanishing Rasengan is a fairly new Jutsu. It was created by accidentally adding the Lightning Element to the normal Rasengan. There are many other Jutsu which are similar to this Rasengan.
Rasenshuriken is a variation of the Rasengan which utilizes the Wind Element. Invented by Naruto Uzumaki with the help of Kakashi Hatake, this Jutsu adds blades made out of the wind to the Rasengan. It could destroy a person’s body to a cellular level upon contact.
The Rasenshuriken, but now with Black Flames added to it. After being apart for years, Naruto and Sasuke rejoin to create a new jutsu by combining their new abilities like they had known each other for years. The flames are buffed by the Wind style Rasenshuriken.
Jiraiya adds his Fire Element to his Rasengan to create a bright red Rasengan. This version is not seen either in the Anime or Manga, but in the game Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3. Because of this, the Jutsu is not considered canon but is still a really cool Jutsu.
A Rasengan that Naruto Uzumaki creates out of Nature Energy. After learning the Sage Art, Naruto learns how to absorb chakra from nature. He created the Magnet Release Rasengan out of this Nature Energy.
A Rasengan that is created using Tailed Beast Chakra along with Naruto Uzumaki’s Chakra. It is very similar to a Tailed Beast Bomb visually, but has the properties of a Rasengan. It is also much smaller than a Tailed Beast Bomb.
All the Kage are about to lose to Momoshiki, but Boruto comes in clutch to save them all with his incredible Vanishing Rasengan.
After trying to master the Rasengan, Boruto thinks he failed – but little does he know that he improved the Rasengan. Although Boruto takes off after Sasuke comments that it is small, Sasuke notices the hidden power of the new Rasengan.
A. Vanishing Rasengan was created by adding the Lightning Element to the Rasengan, making it throwable and making it Vanish after it is thrown. Sometimes, sparkles of Lightning is seen along its path.
A. Although Naruto has mastered many types of Rasengan, he has not learnt the Vanishing Rasengan. As of now, it is exclusive to his son, Boruto Uzumaki.
A. The Vanishing Rasengan hasn’t been officially ranked yet, but the Rasengan itself is an A Rank Jutsu. Adding an element to the Rasengan is an S Rank task, hence it is assumed that the Vanishing Rasengan is an S Rank Jutsu.
