Margo used to work as a maid in the royal palace of Redaku's capital city. She didn't have a specific job and did whatever tasks were needed for the royal family or their guests. After a while, she was assigned to be the personal maid of Jiji, a shinobi from Sunagakure who was staying in the palace.
Jiji and Margo fell in love, but they kept it a secret. The Prime Minister found out about their relationship and allowed it to continue as long as Jiji helped one of the Prime Minister's allies, Zansūru, for a year.
As Jiji was about to finish his year with Zansūru, he was told that Margo had died from an epidemic in the capital city. In reality, Margo was fine and didn't know about the lies. At the same time, Margo was sent to accompany Prince Nanara to Nagare Village. During that year, Margo took care of the prince and found new tutors for him whenever he drove off his previous ones with his pranks.
While Prince Nanara is pretending to be the Sixth Hokage, Margo interrupts him to call him for his morning lessons. Nanara tries to tell her he doesn't have a tutor, but Margo corrects him, saying that Kakashi Hatake has arrived to teach him. Many women in the village, including Margo, are attracted to Kakashi, and they discreetly watch him while preparing meals.
A few weeks later, Nanara is summoned back to the royal palace. At first, he doesn't want to go, but Kakashi reminds him that Margo might get in trouble if he refuses. So, Nanara agrees to go, and Margo is relieved. Kakashi goes with Nanara to the palace, leaving Margo behind.
When Nanara returns, he tells Margo and the rest of the village that the Prime Minister will be sending soldiers to Nagare for a few days, and the village must feed them. Margo, though not understanding why they need soldiers, remains hopeful that there will be enough food for both the soldiers and the villagers.
However, the truth is that there's only enough food for one group, not both. So, Kakashi decides to protect the village from the soldiers and opposes the Prime Minister's plans to invade the Land of Fire. At first, Margo is reluctant to defy the Prime Minister and wants to return to her old life in the royal palace.
But when Nanara contacts the Seventh Hokage and finds an alternative to the invasion, Margo changes her mind. Instead of evacuating, she joins the other villagers in defending Nagare Village. Armed with pots and pans, she helps them confront the artillery unit threatening to destroy the village.
Margo even pours water on the cannons' ignition sources to stop them from firing. She tries to persuade the operators of the cannons to defy the Prime Minister, but they say they can't because their families are being held hostage.
Ultimately, the villagers succeed, and the Prime Minister is defeated. After the Prime Minister's defeat, Kakashi sends a letter to Sasuke Uchiha, telling him about the battle's outcome. The letter mentions how Margo helped in winning the fight and that she will go with Nanara, who is now the King of Redaku, back to the capital city. Sasuke shares this letter with Jiji, revealing that Margo is alive and well.
A year later, Margo accompanies Nanara to the Astronomy Research Institute, guided by Jiji, who is now one of Nanara's aides, just like Margo. Nanara wants to rebuild the Institute and make it even better than it was before. He asks Margo if his sister, Manari, would agree with this idea. Margo thinks Manari might worry about the cost but would likely support the idea. Nanara is pleased with her answer and has Jiji show them around the area near the Institute.
Margo is a kind and helpful person willing to stand up for what is right. She cares about the people she is close to and is adaptable to different situations.
Margo often wears a traditional outfit with an orange top and a yellow long skirt. She also wears a thin piece of jewelry on her forehead with a red stone. Her distinctive features include purple hair and purple eyes.
