Minoichi is a member of Enlightened Ones and once served as Konohagakure Anbu team shinobi. He was in Allied Shinobi Forces, too, but after the Fourth Shinobi War, he went to the Land of Silence and later joined the Gengo force.
He is one of the supporting characters in the Naruto anime series and manga that was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Minoichi met Shikamaru, Ro, and Soku in a narrow street. Shikamaru used his special power to control Minoichi and started asking him questions. He then threatened to use another power to restrain Minoichi's neck if he didn't cooperate. But Ro stopped Shikamaru from hurting Minoichi.
Then, Minoichi grabbed Ro and put him in a headlock, intending to reveal something about Ro's past. Before he could say more, Soku quickly used a special needle that paralyzed Minoichi by injecting something into his neck which made Minoichi unable to speak anymore.
Minoichi is a fearful and self-centered person. He cares mostly about his well-being and will do whatever it takes to protect himself. He has a low opinion of the Daimyo and believes that shinobi should have control instead.
Minoichi wears Enlightened Ones black coat and has brown hair. He has an average height.
