Onbu in Naruto

Onbu is the onbaa, which is a creature that looks like a mixture of a sloth, cat, bear, and money-like animal. He is from the Land of Fire, an unknown forest. He was the brother of Suigetsu Hozuki. He is one of the supporting characters in the Naruto anime series and manga that was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Onbu’s Background

When Onbu was an infant, a hawk kidnapped him but Naruto Uzumaki saw it and intervened, as he battled the hawk which made Onbu fall on Naruto's back. However, when he touched Sakura, Naruto learned that Onbu was stuck to his back and refusing to leave his jacket.

Onbu then becomes Naruto's companion and makes his friends jealous. Some think it's a training weight; others believe Naruto has a child because of rumors. Tsunade sends Naruto on a mission to eliminate bandits in a fortress, hoping it will make Onbu leave.

During the mission, Onbu grows quickly and becomes an adult, but it's still attached to Naruto. However, on the way home, Onbu's mother attacks Naruto to take her child back. This separates Onbu from Naruto, and Onbu attacks Naruto too. However, Naruto reminds Onbu of all their time together, and Onbu protects him from its mother before leaving with its mother.

In the end, everyone in the village, except Naruto, gets their own baby Onbaa dropped on their backs by hawks, and Naruto finds it funny.
