According to the information available, Ran is a kunoichi of the Hidden Cloud Village.
Ran made her first appearance in Naruto Shippuden episode 288, titled ‘Danger: Jinpachi and Kushimaru!,’ in Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation arc. In the arc, it was revealed that Ran was assigned to the Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Force. On the battlefield, Ran was knocked out by an explosion caused by Jinpachi Munashi, a member of Kirigakure’s previous generation of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
However, she and her comrades were attacked by not just him but Kushimaru Kuriarare, another previous Ninja Swordsmen member, as well. Following this, Might Guy and Kakashi Hatake showed up at the scene and instructed her to leave the battle area, saving her from further harm. But she returned with reinforcements, and with the help of the Third Division forces and the Sealing Team, Kushimaru and Jinpachi were successfully sealed away.
This is the only instance Ran has ever appeared in the Naruto series. Based on this minimal appearance, Ran is believed to be alive and well until any additional information suggests otherwise.
Ran had a very brief role in the series, and the information concerning her personality is not available. However, based on her actions, it can be said that she is a brave, young kunoichi.
Ran is a young woman with a fair skin tone, short brown hair, and blue eyes. She was dressed in a midriff top, skirt, and customized Kumogakure white flak jacket. Together with the forehead protector of the Allied Shinobi Forces, she also wore scarlet wrist warmers, stockings, and a pair of sandals. She also carried a tanto, a small sword, strapped on her left shoulder.
Ran did not showcase her arsenal of abilities in her limited appearance. However, it is believed that she excels in Kenjutsu, sword fighting techniques, as she carries a tanto.
