Life of Roen

In the past, a monster named Roen used to attack the Howling Wolf Village. It would absorb the energy of the villagers, called chakra, and harm them. The Kodon clan managed to defeat Roen by trapping it inside their clan's shrine. As time passed, Roen became a story and a legend that people no longer believed was real.

Many years later, when the Howling Wolf Village was considering becoming neutral in conflicts, a person named Tenma Kodon released Roen from the shrine. Tenma used a substance called saigenzai to control Roen and made it attack the village. He wanted to convince the villagers that being neutral was a bad idea. During the village's defense against Roen, something happened.

The Kumanoi clan used a special blue fire powder that made Tenma lose control over Roen. He and his wife tried to put Roen back into the shrine, but his wife got killed, and Tenma couldn't do the sealing alone.

After failing to seal Roen into his oldest son, Reishi Kodon, Tenma sealed it into his youngest son, Kina Kodon. Tenma sacrificed his life in the process. Now, only Reishi knows that Kina is the one who has Roen inside him.

For ten years, Roen stays hidden inside Kina's body without causing any trouble. However, as the villagers of the Howling Wolf Village start picking on Kina more and more, Roen takes advantage of Kina's growing anger. It uses Kina's body to absorb the energy, called a chakra, from those who bully him. Each time Roen tries to harm others or fully take over Kina, Reishi steps in and stops it. This keeps the villagers unaware of Kina's involvement for a while.

However, during an encounter with an angry mob, Kina transforms, and Roen launches an attack on the village. It almost succeeds in fully controlling Kina, but with the help of Sasuke Uchiha, Reishi manages to seal Roen back into the Kodon clan's shrine.

Although the village is saved, Reishi's seal lasts only seven years. After that time, Roen will come back. Kina plans to be ready when that happens so that he can do everything possible to stop Roen.
