Sabiru was a spy sent by Orochimaru from the Village hidden in The Sound. Sabiru gained the trust of his peers as a young high-level shinobi in Konohagakure's tactical division. He was a talented ninja and also a skilled fighter who was able to hold his own against some of the strongest ninja in the village. He was appointed by The Third Hokage and the Council to design a new security system for the village. He executed the plan but did it with dishonest motives.
Sabiru appears in The Past Arc: Locus of Konoha during episode 193. In this episode, Sabiru serves as the main antagonist. The episode takes place in the past, during the Third Shinobi World War. High ranking Anbu member, Kishuke Maboroshi figured out that Sabiru was a spy for the enemy and confronted him, but was put into a comatose state by a soul stealing Jutsu.
Naruto and his team are sent to investigate the situation and are tasked with stopping Sabiru. In a climactic battle, Naruto faces off against Sabiru. Sabiru is able to hold his own against Naruto and is able to use his skills as a shinobi to gain an advantage. However, he is eventually defeated by Naruto and is forced to retreat.
Sabiru was killed by Kabuto, his leader, before he could talk and confess to Naruto and Kakashi.
Sabiru's personality is not well-defined in the anime. However, it is clear that he was a cunning and manipulative individual who was able to deceive his fellow shinobi. Sabiru was sly enough that he was able to convince his peers and superiors that he was trustworthy enough to design the new security system for the village.
Sabiru is a male adult with blue eyes and blue hair that is to ears length. He wears a standard Konohagakure forehead protector and a black outfit with a red sash around his waist.
Sabiru was a highly intelligent shinobi who was praised by the Third Hokage for his ability to plan an efficient security system for Konoha. However, it was later revealed that this was all part of his plan as a spy.
Sabiru was also skilled in the use of the Shadow Clone Technique and was adept at trap-oriented attacks. He used a shadow clone in conjunction with explosive tags to throw Kisuke Maboroshi into a river. Sabiru was also capable of performing a technique that allowed him to extract others' souls from their bodies and seal them in tags.
