Shikkotsu Forest in Naruto

Shikkotsu Forest is one of the Three Sage Regions and the home of Katsuyu (The Giant Slug), which is one of the summoning animals of the Legendary Sannin and the Fifth Hokage of Konohagakure, Lady Tsunade, and also of her disciple Sakura Haruno. It is one of the unexplored regions in the Naruto series.

There is not much information available about the Shikkotsu Forest as it has not appeared in the Naruto anime series. It is the homeland of the slug Katsuyu, who is the summoning animal of Tsunade and Sakura Haruno. Currently, Sakura Haruno is the master of the Slug Katsuyu.

Katsuyu is one of the major summoning animals in the Naruto series alongside Gamabunta and Manda, who are the summoning animals of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Before them, Jiraya and Orochimaru were the masters of both these summoning animals respectively.

The other Sage Regions are Mount Myoboku and the Ryuchi Cave, which have been shown in the Naruto anime series and even in the Boruto anime series.

Katsuyu

Katsuyu is the Giant Slug. Lady Tsunade was the one who summoned Katsuyu for the first time in the Naruto anime series. With the help of Katsuyu, Tsunade was able to save many lives when Pain attacked Konoha Village. Katsuyu has the ability to heal wounds and is also able to spit acid.

Katsuyu saved the Five Kage in the Fourth Shinobi War. Later, Sakura Haruno was able to summon her and then became the master of Katsuyu.
