Tadaichi in Naruto

Very little is known about Tadaichi as his past is still shrouded in mystery. In the series, Tadaichi was introduced as a retired Konoha Anbu. It is also stated that Tadaichi lost his wife at an early stage in his life. To mourn his wife, he regularly bought flowers from Yamanaka Flowers, a flower shop owned by the Yamanaka clan, to place at his wife’s grave.

Tadaichi also appears in the novel Sasuke Shinden: The Book of Sunrise. In the novel, the same year he began his retirement, Tadaichi visits a hot spring outside Konoha. As he was heading out from the hot spring, a hooded individual, later revealed to be Chino, ran into him. The hooded person asks Tadaichi if he is the Tadaichi of Konoha. Tadaichi deflects the question by stating that he is just a lowly merchant, to which the hooded person responds that they cannot be fooled and they use their dojutsu (Ketsuryūgan) on him.

Later, he and the others who turned into explosive humans were sent to attack Konoha when they were under the influence of a dojutsu. Along with Choji Akimichi, Shikamaru Nara, Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga, and Ino Yamanaka, Konoha's Barrier Team tries to stop the attack of these exploding humans on Konoha. Tadaichi had his body explode after being hit by a barrier team member with a shuriken.

Tadaichi was a kind and impatient person. He was also fiercely loyal and would never betray Konoha, as stated by Ino Yamanaka.

Tadaichi was an old man with short gray, balding hair and a full-grown beard with a mustache. He had small, dark eyes and thick eyebrows. In the anime, he was seen wearing a dark kimono with matching pants and a gray waistband.

Tadaichi was a retired Anbu of Konohagakure, so he surely possessed extraordinary combat skills. However, information regarding his abilities is unavailable.
