The details of Tagorihime's past are rather mysterious, and very little is known about her upbringing. In the anime, she only made a few brief appearances.
Tagorihime made her anime debut in Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations in episode 75, “The Trials of Ryuchi Cave”. In the episode, When Boruto Uzumaki, the eldest of the Seventh Hokage, and his friends arrived at Ryuchi Cave, Tagorihime and her comrades spied on them from the trees.
Tagorihime was the first to test the young ninjas, tricking them into eating dangerous food by making it appear as a feast using genjutsu. However, Boruto caught on to her trick when she accidentally mentioned Mitsuki's name, even though nobody had mentioned him before.
Tagorihime was frustrated that she couldn't eat their chakra, but she still allowed them to continue. Later, she observed as Boruto and his friends departed to search for Garaga.
Tagorihime pretends to be a hospitable host at first, but her true intentions are to consume the chakra of those who enter Ryuchi Cave. Despite this, she does display respect towards those who successfully complete all the trials.
Despite her human-like appearance, Tagorihime is actually a creature and not a human. When in her disguised form, she has dark hair tied into three buns, one at the front and two at the back of her head, dark eyes, thick eyebrows, and fair skin. Tagorihime dresses in a long, white robe with loose-fitting sleeves and green trimmings around the neck and sleeves.
The neckline features a green tomoe design, and she accessorizes with a golden tiara that has green ribbons dangling from either side.
Tagorihime can float in the air and eat people's chakra. She can turn into a human-like form with snake-like features.
Tagorihime possesses Yin Release. She can cast a strong genjutsu that can cast an illusion that makes rotten and poisonous food look like a delicious feast.
Tagori-hime-no-kami (田心姫神)) is most likely the inspiration for her name. In addition, it is one of the names of the three deities worshiped in Munakata Taisha.
