Taizo, Edashi, Gasuka, and Asura were close friends, and the first time Taizo appeared in the anime was in Naruto Shippuden Episode: 465. In this episode he, alongside the other three and Shiro (Land of Ancestors), went hunting a wild boar. But when they found it, the boar attacked them as all of them tried to run away as it was under the influence of black Zetsu.
Taizo went up to a tree with his other two friends, but Asura was chased by the boar who tried to kill him. Somehow, Shiro tried to save him but died after the boar hit him. Indra came to the rescue and killed the boar with lighting jutsu and Sharingan.
After some time, when Taizo grew up and he asked Asura to cut down some trees in the forest to create a shortcut that would benefit their village. However, it was later revealed that Taizo planned to sell the wood to buy medicine for his sick mother.
Asura's brother Indra became angry when he found out and wanted to punish Taizo for betraying the village.
Asura didn't hold any ill feelings towards Taizo and freed him from prison, even though it meant confronting his brother directly. Taizo, who had been hiding in a shack, was informed by his friends Gasuka and Edashi that Hagoromo Otsutsuki (Asura and Indra's father) had decided to send his sons on a long journey.
Taizo's mother, who the medicine had healed, begged him to accompany Asura on this journey, and he eventually agreed. Together, they traveled to a village where the God Tree dwelled and discovered that many villagers were falling ill due to the saplings of the God Tree.
With the help of a Kanna, Taizo and Asura overpowered the guards of the God Tree and went to a cave. Inside the cave, they learned that the God Tree's saplings made the land fertile but made people sick when they ate its nutrients.
Taizo and Asura approached the village elder, hoping to destroy the saplings. However, knowing the villagers had already suffered due to the barren land, the elder regretfully declined the request.
Although Taizo wanted to give up and return home, Asura believed the only way to help the people was to provide them with another water source. Against Taizo's objections, Asura tirelessly dug a well for weeks, and eventually, Taizo joined him in the effort. Inspired by their selfless actions, the villagers decided to help and learn Ninshu, teaching from Asura, to further their efforts to dig the well.
After a year of hard work, they struck the water, creating a large lake near the village. The villagers proudly burned down the God Tree saplings and with the fresh water and knowledge of Ninshu, the sick people began to heal.
With their mission complete, Taizo and Asura returned home with many villagers who wanted to join them to learn more about Ninshu and its origins. Hagoromo chose Asura his successor, which made Indra angry as he left and then came back to take revenge, but with the help of Taizo and other villagers, Asura defeated Indra.
Taizo is caring and selfless as he deeply cared for his sick mother and was willing to go to great lengths, even betraying the village, to obtain medicine for her. He showed selflessness by joining Asura on a journey to help a village suffering from an illness caused by the God Tree saplings.
Despite facing challenges and objections, Taizo remained determined and worked tirelessly alongside Asura to dig a well for the villagers, ultimately bringing them healing and a new water source. He is also quite humorous and frank.
Taizo had short, spiky black hair with a brown patch above his forehead and black eyes during childhood. He wore a grey apron-like cloak tied over his stomach with a white sash. Under the cloak, he had on a plain khaki shirt. His attire also included plain pants and brown sandals.
As an adult, Taizo retained his short, spiky black hair with a brown patch above his forehead and black eyes. His attire changed slightly, as he now wore a light-grey cloak tied over his stomach. He had a dark-grey apron tied around his waist with a brown belt and wore light-grey pants and grey sandals.
During his journey alongside Asura, Taizo sported a slightly different ensemble. He wore a straw hat to protect himself from the elements and a white cape covering his head. Additionally, he had a scarf and a grey sash tied around his torso.
Taizo was able to learn the basic ninshu from Asura, but not shown in the anime, but he was physically strong. He could transfer his chakra to Asura when he was fighting against Indra.
