Tarui in Naruto

Tarui was born and brought up in Kumogakure and became a Genin rank shinobi. When the Chunin exams were held in Konohagakure, her team was selected to compete in the exam.

When Tarui, alongside her teammates, reached the Konoha village, Shikamaru Nara introduced himself, told them about the Chunin exams, and instructed that the first round would begin at noon. Till then, the participants could rest or train. Tarui and her teammates went to the Thunder Burger shop to eat burgers, where they spotted Boruto and Sarada Uchiha.

Tarui's team went to Boruto’s table and asked him to go to another table because they were two, while Tarui’s team had three members. Boruto refused and said that a third teammate was coming.

When they were about to fight, Mitsuki came and told them that he was Boruto's third teammate and that he could go to another table, but Yurui and Boruto kept staring at each other. When they were about to fight, Shinki came in between and held both of them with his Magnet release (Magnet Style) and told them to stop fighting.

Later during the first test, they had to get from point A to point B in an hour, where they would take the quiz for the first round. On route from point A to B, there were several traps that the instructors placed to eliminate and test the shinobi. Tarui's team was able to reach B easily, and on route, they encountered Summoning Puppets, which Tenten used to test them. Tarui and her teammates easily pass the stage.

In the quiz round, they had to give a true or false answer by standing on the respective spot, but both spots had a pit underneath them. Sai said that whoever fell in the ink pit would be disqualified. Right then, both spots popped out, but Tarui and her teammates were saved by Yurui’s Bubblegum technique to keep himself and his teammates afloat, and they were able to clear the first stage.

In the second stage of the exams, they had to take the other team's flag, and whoever took the opposite team's flag first would be the winner. Tarui's team was against the old Team 15 of Konohagakure, which had Sumire Kakei, Wasabi Izuno, and Namida Suzumeno, led by Hanabi Hyuga. The team of Toroi was easily able to beat them and capture their flag.

In the final round of the exam, Tarui went one-on-one against Sarada Uchiha in which she tried to use the Lariat technique but then failed to hit. She then got hit by a powerful punch in the face, which led to defeat.

Tarui is full of herself and always tries to insult people. She has overconfidence in herself, which leads her to lose the match against Sarada. She always seems gloomy.

Tarui has long blonde hair. She wears a Kumogakure shinobi outfit and has a Kumogakure head protector. Her left-hand sleeves are longer than her right-hand sleeves.

Tarui only showed a Lariat technique in the anime. Other than that, her abilities are still unknown.
