At some point in time, Shikazo borrowed some money from Kageki. When Kageki needed the money for his family, he asked Shikazo to return the borrowed money. To Kageki’s surprise, Shikazo refused to pay him back, which resulted in a fight between the two. Unfortunately, during this chaos, Shikazo fell, hit his head hard on a pickling stone, and met his demise. Katazu, Kageki’s twin brother, took the blame for Shikazo’s death to save his brother. Katazu then purposely attracted the attention of the people pursuing Kageki to ensure Kageki and his family’s safety. Meanwhile, Tsukado was chosen by his clan to hunt down the killer and avenge his distant relative, Shikazo.

Tsukado made his debut in the anime with the Past Arc: The Locus of Konoha. In the storyline, it was revealed that ever since Shikazo’s death, Tsukado, a master swordsman, was asked by his clan to avenge Shikazo’s death and kill Kageki. However, he was a more skilled swordsman than Tsukado. Tsukado had fought and lost to him 34 times so far.

One day, Tsukado came across Team 7 of Konohagakure, consisting of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno, led by Kakashi Hatake. Following this, Kanabun, the leader of the infamous Kanabun Gang, decided to make a profit out of Katazu and Tsukado’s enmity.

The next day, Kanabun brought Katazu and Tsukado face to face to profit from their fight. With the help of Naruto’s unusual lessons, Tsukado gained the upper hand on Katazu. However, before Tsukado could finish Katazu off, Naruto interfered and stopped the fight as he realized that Katazu didn’t kill Shikazo as he was using a blunt blade. Katazu confessed, and after learning the truth, Tsukado decided to spare his life and leave him alone. However, it did not set right with Kanabun, who then tried to force the two swordsmen to fight. To his misfortune, the two swordsmen, Team 7 of Konoha and Mr. Ostrich, chased Kanabun and his gang out of the town.

Tsukado is a goal-oriented, persistent man. Even though he lost to Katazu 34 times in a row, he never gave up on his vendetta or got distracted from his goal. However, he still missed his family. He was tired of his vendetta for revenge and just wanted to go back home to his father and mother. This goes to show the intensity of his goal-oriented and persistent mentality.

Tsukado is also a kind, perceptive, understanding, and forgiving man. He was able to judge and believe Katazu just by his words and forgave Kageki. He even went as far as to lie to his people that he had killed Kageki and avenged Shikazo. Despite his perceptive nature, he can also act dumbfounded from time to time, evident by his take on Naruto’s ‘revenge lessons.’

Tsukado is a young man with a muscular physique, short, spiky black hair, thin eyebrows, and big dark eyes. He wore light-colored, kimono-type clothing with no sleeves, a gray, collared shirt underneath, paired with wide pants, and a pair of sandals. He also wore a white cloth strapped around his waist, serving as a belt. He carried a scabbard with a large sword stuck in his belt.

Tsukado is a master of the sword. He is strong enough to destroy the weapons of multiple foes at once. He is capable of using Chakra Shock Slash, a jutsu that creates a blade-like chakra that is powerful enough to cut through hard earth rock.
