When does Naruto fight Sasuke?

Naruto and Sasuke fought after the Fourth Great Shinobi war ended in the Valley of the End. This fight lasted for 3 episodes from episodes 476 - 478. This was the most awaited fight in the whole series and the fans were very excited to witness this. This fight was one of the legendary fights that has taken place in Naruto.

Summary of the Episode

When Naruto and Sasuke are at the Valley of the End, he remembers what Neji told him about how Sasuke was in darkness, and only Naruto would be able to get him out of it. Naruto doesn't agree with Sasuke's plan of erasing the darkness by killing the Kage and Tailed beasts. Thus, Naruto and Sasuke begin fighting with taijutsu.

Sasuke uses fireball jutsu, which Naruto easily dodges. When Naruto uses his shadow clones to create Rasengan, Sasuke uses his Rinnegan and pulls the clones towards him and skewers them with black flames. Naruto enters the Six Paths Mode and blocks Sasuske’s fireball. When Sasuke switches to a Complete Body Susanoo, Naruto enters the Tailed Mode to counter it and manages to deactivate the Susanoo.

Naruto hesitates to attack Sasuke with his Susanoo down, which gives Sasuke an opening to use Kirin. Sasuke taunts Naruto for stalling. They both attack each other with Susanoo: Chidori and Tailed Beast Ball. In their minds, Sasuke wants to kill Naruto, and on the other hand, Naruto states that there is no guarantee that the world Sasuke is fighting for will bring peace and eliminate the darkness.

Naruto tells Sasuke that his plan will be of no avail and could cause his death, and Sasuke replies to it by saying that with the power of the Rinnegan, he can lead in different ways. Sasuke, being annoyed at Naruto for not killing him, calls the sealed beast Chibaku Tensei.

As Sasuke focuses the tailed beasts' chakra into his Susanoo, Kurama warns Naruto to let down his guard. When Naruto makes his shadow clones in his Tailed Beast mode, Sasuke makes fun of him as he used to use this technique to escape loneliness. As Sasuke fights off the shadow clones, Naruto manages to immobilize Susanoo. This sends them up into the clouds where Sasuke uses his lightning jutsu against Naruto which causes large-scale explosions.

As Sasuke prepares to attack Naruto again, Naruto gathers a huge amount of natural energy which allows him to create a huge Rashenshuriken and Tailed Beast Ball Rasenshuriken. Naruto says that he wants to beat Sasuke fair and square, but he wouldn't do that with how Sasuke is right now. When the attacks clash it causes a huge explosion, which damages the Valley.

Seeing Naruto still standing, Sasuke uses Amaterasu, which Naruto blocks by coating himself with Kurama’s chakra. When Sasuke thinks that he had successfully paralyzed Naruto with his Chidori, the real one comes out and attacks him from the side. As they both don't have a lot of energy, they start a fist fight and Sasuke starts punching Naruto. Naruto pulls him close and gives him a headbutt.

When Sakura wakes up, she asks Kakashi where the two of them were, and he informs her that they were fighting. This makes Sakura remember their academic days when they used to fight constantly. Sasuke can absorb the chakra Kuruma was giving Naruto with his Rinnegan and uses it to make another Chidori but Naruto intercepts it and sends it back. Kurama gives the last of his chakra to Naruto with which he clashes with Sasuke. This explosion destroys what was left of the valley of the end.

This explosion injures Naruto and Sasuke a lot and they are both lying down with one of their hands missing. As they lay there, Sasuke starts recalling how they both were lonely, which makes him think that they were actually like brothers. Naruto apologizes to Tsunade, saying that he’ll die before becoming the Hokage.

Naruto says that if they moved a lot, they would bleed out and die. Sasuke asks Naruto why he tries to maintain his friendship with him. Naruto tells him that he can't let Sasuke take on so many hardships alone, and wants to be there with him to fight them. This makes Sasuke think about how Naruto had started to become like family to him, and how important he is to him.

Sasuke admits defeat and says that once he dies, Naruto should transplant his Rinnegan to someone else. Naruto straight up tells him that he should not be so willing to die, and he should stay alive and help Naruto make the other shinobis cooperate. Sasuke starts to cry and they both lie there with their arms destroyed and bleeding.

Sakura and Kakashi arrive at the location and see Naruto and Sasuke on the ground. Sakura immediately starts healing their arms. Naruto thanks her, and Sasuke apologizes to her for all the pain he had caused her, which makes Sakura tearful. Kakashi looks at his students and remembers the first time that he had met them. He says that Sasuke is finally back.
