Yaoki is from Sunagakure, and with Korobi, went on a mission under Gaara. They had a joint mission with Team 7 of Konoha. He was afraid of Gaara because of his past blood-lust behavior.

After they met with the Konoha shinobi, they decided to start the mission, but soon Gaara was attacked by the Suna Assassin Captain’s team because the elders of Sunagakure were afraid of him.

When Gaara got caught in a trap, he told Yaoki and Korobi to run away. Naruto saw them and asked why they left their friend. Yaoki and Korobi didn't know if Gaara was their friend, but they decided he was and went to help Naruto save him. After they succeeded, Gaara asked if they were his friends, and they happily said yes.

Yaoki is a cheerful and kind-hearted person who accepts Gaara as a friend even though everyone used to be afraid of him.

Yaoki has burgundy hair and wears a Sunagakure shinobi outfit consisting of a brown flak jacket and brown jumpsuit. He wears a Sunagakure headband and shinobi sandals.
Yaoki is a skilled shinobi and probably specialized in the puppet technique because he carried puppets. He is also strong because when he went to save Gaara, he was able to beat the Anbu rank shinobi of Sunagakure.
