Zansuru in Naruto

Zansuru was a friend of the Prime Minister and helped the ruler of the Land of Redaku. He was an archaeologist who studied at the Astronomy Research Institute. They became good at understanding dinosaur fossils found near the Institute. He also learned how to bring the dead to life by studying the Institute's old records. Zansūru thought that by bringing dinosaurs back to life, they could make a solid army to help the Prime Minister and the people of Redaku.

Zansuru, an expert in dinosaur fossils, uses chakra to bring dinosaurs back to life. The Prime Minister wanted this power for an army, so they asked Jiji for help. In exchange, Jiji could live with his secret lover, Margo, if he helped Zansuru for a year.

The first dinosaur they revived was named Meno, and Zansuru controlled it. Meno helped keep order among prisoners who were digging up more dinosaur fossils. Zansuru had a secret chamber in his office where he kept the fossils and raised chickens for sacrifices to the revived dinosaurs.

As the year ended, Zansuru didn't have enough fossils for the Prime Minister's army and hadn't revived more dinosaurs. To keep Jiji helping, Zansuru lied and said Margo had died from a pandemic, making Jiji very sad. Zansuru promised to bring Margo back to life if Jiji continued to help. Zansuru stayed at the Astronomy Research Institute and didn't care about the prisoners' well-being as long as they helped him with his plan.

One morning, after breakfast, Meno, the revived dinosaur, publicly killed two prisoners who were trying to escape from the Astronomy Research Institute. It was a very brutal and scary sight, but Zansuru wanted the other prisoners to see it on purpose. He hoped that if the executions were shocking and made a big show, the prisoners would be too scared to try to escape themselves.

Zansuru acted like he didn't want this to happen and told the prisoners to go back to work as soon as the executions were over. The prisoners did what he said and quickly went back to their tasks.

The next day, Zansuru confronted a prisoner named Sasuke Uchiha, who tried to use a genjutsu on Meno, the dinosaur, during the night, but it didn't work. Sasuke was surprised that Zansuru knew about this and used his Sharingan, to try to control Zansuru's mind, but he noticed that Zansūru had a glass eye that made him immune to genjutsu. Zansuru praised Sasuke's skill but warned that he couldn't take control of Meno away from him.

For the rest of the day, Zansuru told the prison guards to bother Sasuke, and they did mean things to him under Zansuru's orders. Sasuke didn't fight back to avoid drawing more attention to himself, but he also didn't show that the mean treatment affected him so that Zansūru wouldn't feel satisfied.

A few days later, someone from the Prime Minister's office named Fundaru came to visit Zansuru. However, it turned out that Fundaru was actually Sakura Haruno, the new doctor at the Institute in disguise. When Sakura got to Zansuru's office, she tried to distract him by talking about the weather and while he was not paying attention, she rolled a disguised Sasuke (who was pretending to be Fundaru) into Zansuru's bedroom.

This gave Sasuke a chance to investigate Zansuru's room. Sakura talked to Zansuru and tried to gather information about the Prime Minister's message from their previous meeting with Fundaru. But Zansūru got impatient and wanted to know the message from the Prime Minister.

Sakura asked Zansuru about the "progress" of his project. He said it would be done soon, just in time for the Prime Minister's plans in Nagare Village. Sakura didn't know what those plans were, so she asked for more details. But Zansuru didn't want to share and said the Prime Minister knew what he meant. Then he noticed that Fundaru's cane was missing.

At the same time, Sasuke managed to find a secret door in Zansuru's bedroom, which made a noise. To cover it up, Sakura tapped Fundaru's cane on the floor. The meeting ended, and Zansuru didn't realize Sakura's trick or Sasuke's presence.

On the night when the Prime Minister was going to attack Nagare, Zansuru had Jiji bring back all the dinosaurs they had revived so far. Sasuke realized Zansuru's plan just before the dinosaurs were revived and tried to stop them from leaving the Institute. Zansuru stopped Sasuke and explained that he believed he had the power of the country, and the Prime Minister, being the leader, could use that power however he wanted, even if it meant harming the people in Nagare Village.

Zansūru couldn't convince Sasuke to change his mind, but Sasuke got suspicious. He used Sharingan to check Zansūru's chakra and realized that Zansūru wasn't a shinobi, so he couldn't have brought the dinosaurs back to life.

While Sasuke was figuring this out, Menō, the dinosaur, attacked him from behind on Zansuru's orders. Zansuru left to join Jiji, who was riding on a huge dinosaur called "Titan." Zansuru was happy to see the dinosaurs causing chaos among the prisoners at the Institute. He told Jiji to get the dinosaurs ready to go to the Prime Minister's location once all the prisoners were dead. Jiji agreed but reminded Zansuru to keep his promise about bringing back Jiji's lost lover.

Surprisingly, Meno started fighting to protect the prisoners. Zansuru was not happy about this and asked Jiji why it was happening. Jiji said he lost control of Menō, probably because of Sasuke. Zansuru thought Meno wouldn't last long against the bigger dinosaurs still under Jiji's control. But Meno was winning because Sasuke was helping him, something Jiji hadn't told Zansuru before. Then Sasuke joined Meno, and Sakura started fighting the dinosaurs on the other side of the Institute.

Jiji decided to deal with Sakura and gave control of all the revived dinosaurs to Zansūru to use against Sasuke and Meno. Meno, with Sasuke's help, managed to get on the back of the giant dinosaur called Titan and started charging toward Zansuru. Zansuru quickly summoned a flying dinosaur to escape Meno's reach and flew away. He was very mad that he lost control of Meno, whom he had controlled for a long time. Zansuru ordered all the dinosaurs to attack Sasuke.

While fighting the dinosaurs, Sasuke used his lightning power to strike the flying dinosaur Zansuru was riding, but Zansuru saved it from crashing to the ground with a powerful gust of wind. At the same time, Meno attacked the Titan's legs, making it fall over because of its large size. The Titan had a hard time getting back up.

Zansuru told the flying dinosaur to help the Titan stand up, but it could only follow one command at a time. So, it went to help the Titan, and Zansuru fell off and died when he hit the ground.

Zansūru had a calm and level-headed personality, keeping his emotions in check. At first, he seemed fair and didn't let his guards punish Sasuke for a fight, but he didn't really care about the prisoners' safety. He was actually happy when other prisoners saw Meno execute those who tried to escape because it made them more obedient.

When Sasuke tried to control him with genjutsu, Zansuru focused on tormenting Sasuke and let his guards punish him for any small mistakes. He was very loyal to the Prime Minister and worked hard to help the Prime Minister control the country. If anyone threatened the Prime Minister's plans, Zansuru would do whatever it took to eliminate them.

His loyalty even led him to lie to Jiji about his fiancée's death, pretending that he would "revive" her if Jiji helped with his plans. But when he was in a challenging situation, Zansuru became angry and lost his calmness. This happened when Sasuke started to defeat the dinosaurs and came close to attacking Zansuru.

Zansuru told the dinosaur carrying him to focus on Sasuke, but because he wasn't the one who summoned it, the dinosaur could only follow one command. So it dropped Zansuru, and he fell to his death while screaming in fear.

Zansuru had a distinctive appearance. He was a slender man with long red hair and wore silver-rimmed glasses. His left eye was actually a prosthetic made of glass, and in the anime, it was a technological eye. It was so well-made that hardly anyone could tell it was fake; only Sasuke Uchiha noticed it because of his Sharingan eye.

In the manga, Zansuru had red hair and purple eyes, which were a shade of red-violet in the anime. He typically dressed in a white outfit with a black zig-zag pattern down the center and on the hem, along with grey trousers and black boots. In the anime, he also wore grey stud earrings, adding to his unique appearance.

Zansuru sometimes said he was a ninja, but he was just a regular person, so he didn't have a lot of chakras. He didn't want people to know this or that he didn't actually bring the dinosaurs back to life for the Prime Minister.

In a novel, he used a special power called Wind Release when he was fighting Sasuke Uchiha. He had blue stripes on his forehead when he did this, but we don't know what they did. Because he had a fake eye, he couldn't be affected by special mind control techniques that affect people's eyes, like genjutsu.
