The Doru Doru no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that transforms its user into a Candle Human, allowing them to create a huge amount of candle wax from their body and manipulate it. It was consumed by Galdino, better known as Mr. 3.
The fruit’s abilities were first demonstrated during the Little Garden Arc, and later were shown in combination with Luffy’s techniques during the Impel Down Arc.

At some point in the past, Mr. 3 consumed the Doru Doru no Mi (Wax-Wax) Devil Fruit. It is unknown whether he ate it before he joined the Baroque Works or after.
The Doru Doru no Mi is a white pear-shaped fruit with a top that resembles a candle that has melted. It has the traditional Devil Fruit swirl designs all over and a green stem at the top with one droplet-shaped extrusion on each end that makes it look like wax in pouring.
The main ability of this fruit is that it allows the user to generate candle wax from their body and shape it anyway they like. The wax becomes as robust as steel once it has hardened. Also, the wax is resistant to some acids. When the power of this fruit is awakened, the user’s hair ignites, giving the appearance of a candle. However, the user is not harmed by the flames.
When one piece of solid wax strikes another piece of hardened wax, both pieces of wax break and fall to the ground. Regardless of its density, wax will still melt if it is in contact with heat or flames such as the fire burning on Mr. 3’s head. Also, because of the fruit’s abilities, the user is a “candle-man,” and being in a hot environment can significantly weaken them as a result.
Apart from these, the user is vulnerable to the standard Devil Fruit flaws.
Mr. 3 has mainly used the fruit’s bestowed powers in ways that are consistent with his sense of artistic expression. These include enormous wax cakes with flickering candles and wax figurines that closely resemble real people in every way. Among these methods, Mr. 3’s use of the fruit’s abilities to encase his opponents in wax and transform them into living wax statues stands out.
Mr. 3 is also capable of making keys out of wax, which has come in very handy for escaping Seastone-built shackles and prison cells. It is unclear how Mr. 3 is able to completely replicate the key’s exact structure from memory, as well as the internal workings of the locks that it was intended to open. It could be him putting his fingers inside the keyhole while they are covered with wax, or that he produces a master key of some form. His specific method is not known, but he also uses his powers to power his ship, much like certain Logia-class users do.

The suit is strong enough for Mr. 3 to defeat strong opponents. Also, the suit is usually white in color, however, if Mr. 3 has a subordinate with painting abilities, they can change the color of the suit.

This is a highly effective defensive technique in which Mr. 3 builds a large box with numerous tiny openings so he can see what is happening on the outside. The technique has proved to be extremely useful when it comes to defending himself.

While Mr. 3 has been the only one to intentionally use the Doru Doru no Mi’s powers, Luffy has also done so. Luffy uses the solidified substance in combination with his own Devil Fruit powers to deliver assaults boosted by Mr. 3’s wax, which he discovered when Mr. 3 wrapped his feet in wax. These tactics have only been used when wax has been accidentally placed on Luffy's limbs by Mr. 3. The techniques are temporary as the impact left by it splits the wax.
The abilities of this fruit were purposely used by Luffy when Mr. 3 collaborated with him during the breakout of Impel Down. One of the most noticeable is a pair of gloves and boots that resembles Mr. 3’s Candle Champion for use in battle against Magellan, the warden of Impel Down, and his Doku Doku no Mi abilities. In order to stop Luffy from becoming infected as well, Mr. 3’s Doru Doru Kaijo’s armor components melted after Magellan’s Kinjite poison had infected them.

Luffy developed this method when he joined forces with Mr. 3. After having Mr. 3 use Candle Lock on Luffy’s arm, he launches an attack that resembles his Gomu Gomu no Rifle technique.
In this technique, Mr. 3 covers Luffy’s arms and legs in wax armor that has the appearance of a big set of boxing gloves and lengthy robotic legs. He used this to make his blows more powerful and protect himself from poisonous acid.
Luffy launches a strike imitating his rifle technique after having his arms covered in wax. He is able to use this attack without getting poisoned thanks to the wax covering his arm. This attack’s name is a mashup of Mr. 3’s Candle Champion move and Luffy’s rifle technique.
This is a technique in which Luffy uses his standard stamp attack but with the assistance of Mr. 3’s wax to avoid being poisoned. This attack’s name is a mashup of Mr. 3’s Candle Champion move and Luffy’s stomp attack. This technique is referred to as Gomu Gomu no Stamp in the manga.
This is an Anime-only technique. Following the application of wax on his arms, Luffy launches an attack imitating his bazooka move. Luffy can perform this technique without being poisoned because of the wax covering his arms. The name of this attack comes from combining Mr. 3’s Candle Champion attack and Luffy’s bazooka.
This technique is similar to Champion Bazooka in which Luffy is able to use a Gatling technique to attack his opponent while having his arms covered in wax. The attack’s name comes from combining Mr. 3’s Candle Champion technique and Luffy’s Gatling technique.
