Location and Layouts of Drum Rockies

Drum Island takes its name from the Drum Rockies, which have a shape resembling a drum. The mountains are incredibly difficult to climb due to their steepness, but it is not impossible for those with superhuman endurance or for animals who have evolved to climb vertically. Lapahns are rumored to live in the Drum Rockies’ foothills, where they have been known to create avalanches if provoked.

Drum Castle

The Drum Castle, which is located at the top of Drum Rock, was formerly home to the royal family of Drum Island. Wapol left his kingdom to flee the Blackbeard Pirates, and Kureha gained control of the location and made it her new home.

Drum Ropeway

The main route for travel from Drum Rock’s highest point to the rest of the kingdom is via the Drum Ropeway. It is a tramway system that transports people up or down the mountain using a trolley.

Hiriluk’s Hideout

On the lower mountainside of one of the Drum Rockies, Hiriluk once resided in a small man-made cave accessed by a ladder. He conducted his medical research in this location.

After his initial encounter with Hiriluk and after residing with the charlatan for at least a full year, Tony Chopper received treatment here.

Inhabitants of Drum Rockies

Dr. Kureha

Dr. Kureha is a Drum Island doctor. She is referred to as a “witch” by some people on the island. She served as both mentor and an adoptive mother to Tony Tony Chopper after Hiriluk’s death.

Tony Tony Chopper

Tony Tony Chopper, also preferred to as “Cotton Candy Lover Chopper”, learned medicine under Hiriluk’s tutelage, and after his death, Dr. Kureha took him under his wing and taught him further about medicine.

Chopper is now the Straw Hat Pirates’ doctor and one of the Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.

Dr. Hiriluk

Dr. Hiriluk was Tony Tony Chopper’s father figure and a quack doctor from Drum Island. In the past, he was a thief.
