History of Gyasta

At some point in the past, Hiriluk went to Kureha’s house in order to get examined. There, he discovered that he had caught a fatal illness, and that even with the best care Kureha could provide him, he only had a few weeks to live.

During the Drum Island Arc, a local head Kureha talked about going to Gyasta after she had treated Tamachibi in Cocoa Weed. The rumor spread when Dalton, Vivi and Usopp passed through looking for her but when Dalton learned of Wapol’s return before they could depart for Gyasta, he immediately rushed out to confront the former king of Bighorn.

In spite of setting off on their own towards Gyasta, Vivi and Usopp got lost while attempting to understand the island’s map and ended up returning to Bighorn after meeting Zoro. Usopp, Vivi and Zoro were told about some Gyasta locals finding a long rope linked to Kureha’s old house that can be used to create a new Drum Ropeway after Dalton was earlier saved by the Lapahn-caused avalanche.

Locations at Gyasta

Gyasta is a lakeside town north of Cocoa Weed. The most well-liked pastime in this town is ice skating because it is situated near a lake.

Dr. Kureha’s Old Residence

A large tree that previously served as Kureha’s residence and the place of her medical checkups is located on the outskirts of Gyasta.

Kureha eventually moved out to Drum Castle after King Wapol escaped from Drum after the Blackbeard Pirates ravaged the nation. A lengthy white rope was attached between the tree and somewhere atop the Drum Rockies, indicating that the tree had not been totally abandoned. Tony Tony Chopper was able to carry Kureha between the two locations by pulling along this ropeway by pulling her sleigh.

Inhabitants of Gyasta

Dr. Kureha is the only known former resident of Gyasta. She lived here until Wapol’s reign, and after the latter departed, she shifted to the Drum Castle.
