Avalo Pizarro is a fictional character in the Japanese manga/anime series One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda.
Avalo Pizarro, better known as the "Corrupt King", is currently one of the Ten Titanic Captains as the captain of the Fourth Ship. He was the king of a North Blue kingdom before his life of crime, but his dictatorial tactics led to his downfall. Since his acts were so heinous that he had to be practically wiped out of history, he was subsequently sentenced to life in jail in Level 6 and imprisoned in Impel Down. Since then, Marshall D. Teach set him free and allowed him to join his crew.
He is a supporting villain in the Marineford arc, a minor villain in the Egghead arc and a major one during the Final Saga of the story.

Avalo Pizarro was formerly the ruler of his kingdom in the North Blue, but his people overthrew him because he used his position of authority to further his agenda. He rose to fame as one of the world's most feared criminals, but he was ultimately apprehended by the World Government and given a life sentence in Impel Down Level 6, effectively erasing him from history.
Under Marshall D. Teach's orders, Pizarro and the other prisoners in his cell battled to the death when the Blackbeard Pirates raided Impel Down. After winning, they were released and enlisted in the Blackbeard Pirates. Thus, he became part of Blackbeard’s crew.
Following Ace's death and Whitebeard's separation from his crew, it turns out that Blackbeard's crew was watching the battle. Pizarro gets introduced alongside his fellow prisoners, Shiryu, Sanjuan Wolf, Catarina Devon, and Vasco Shot. All of his crew members (except for Wolf) join Pizarro in attacking Whitebeard with an anonymous device on his arm after Whitebeard's Bisento knocks Blackbeard down.
He helps cover Whitebeard's corpse with the mysterious black cloth after his death, while Blackbeard hides underneath it. He is later seen laughing while watching Blackbeard use his newfound ability. Sengoku then transforms into a Buddha and attacks him and the other Blackbeard Pirates, sending them flying. Shanks later arrives at Marineford, and he departs with the crew.
He and the other Blackbeard Pirates are seen waiting for the Marines to deliver a warship so they can trade Jewelry Bonney on a burning island. He jokes that he could solve the ship acquisition problem and asks Blackbeard to appoint him captain. Introducing himself as the Blackbeard Pirates, Laffitte asks him casually if he has a death wish. Jewelry Bonney is left to be taken prisoner by the Marines as Pizarro leaves with the other Blackbeard Pirates upon Akainu's arrival.
The Blackbeard Pirates fought the remaining Whitebeard Pirates a year after the Marineford War's conclusion and triumphed. Following that, Pizarro led the fourth ship in the fleet as one of the Ten Titanic Captains as the Blackbeard Pirates grew.
Teach's knowledge of Whitebeard's former region helped the Blackbeard Pirates take it away. The Blackbeard Pirates are pursuing strong Devil Fruit users in an attempt to absorb their abilities now that Blackbeard has attained the title of an Emperor. The crew eventually came across Kuzan, and following a brief dispute, they all began to drink, laugh, and enjoy themselves.
Kuzan overhead Laffitte whispering if they should kill Kuzan for the Hie Hie no Mi. Pizzaro was one of those who were frozen right before Blackbeard cleared up the misunderstanding and, to everyone's shock, managed to hire the former Marine Admiral into the crew. The Blackbeard Pirates established the island of Hachinosu as their main base after the Rocky Port Incident.
Later, Baltigo, the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army, was invaded by the Blackbeard Pirates. The Revolutionary Army managed to escape, but by the time the Marines and Cipher Pol arrived, Baltigo had been destroyed. However, following a brief altercation with Cipher Pol, the Blackbeard Pirates retreated. He was observed hearing his captain's remarks that Luffy was too young to be referred to as an Emperor following the events in Totto Land.
Pizarro became aware of Moria's presence while he and his army of zombies ravaged Hachinosu. He then listened to Kuzan's description of SWORD and was present when Blackbeard revealed his plans to establish Hachinosu as a kingdom to Koby, who had been kidnapped by the Blackbeard Pirates after they had invaded Amazon Lily.
With Perona's help, Koby had escaped a few days after the incident. Avalo Pizarro was able to detect the breakout and alert the Blackbeard Pirates to capture Koby, alive, by using his Devil Fruit abilities. Shiryu then asked him why he didn't participate, to which he simply said that Teach would not approve of him doing so. After reprimanding Vasco Shot for suggesting that Teach would become even more enraged if he set the town on fire, he dismissed the notion of sending Sanjuan Wolf, stating that the Rocky Port had recently been fixed.
Nevertheless, all of the Marines and prisoners were sent off the island when Garp and SWORD later caused chaos in the island. After witnessing their ship use his abilities, Pizarro expressed his displeasure and annoyance at Teach's constant receiving of media attention for his actions. Pizarro saw an opportunity and used his Devil Fruit abilities to try to crush the ship by creating gigantic hands from the island. He then dubbed the impending news story as Garp's unsuccessful attempt to save Koby and their death at Pizarro's hands.
But before he could finish, Garp struck the Stone Skull, severely injuring Pizarro. When Koby moved in front of Pizzaro's hand, he collected himself and continued attacking. Pizarro chuckled and claimed that Koby must have been ecstatic to be referred to as a hero, but to his and everyone else's surprise, Koby destroyed the enormous stone limb, which caused Pizzaro a lot more suffering. When Kuzan cut Garp's chest with a giant icicle, Pizzaro saw him on the ground, battered, as Koby and the rest of SWORD fled. Pizzaro and the other Titanic Captains surrounded the Hero of the Marines, and Pizzaro glared at Garp.
After Teach returned to Hachinosu, Pizarro was warned and threatened by his captain for not stopping Koby and Moria from escaping. Fortunately for him, Teach settled down by himself, content to learn that they had got Garp in return, effectively providing them with an even better token to use later. When Devon and Augur returned shortly after with Caribou, Pizarro used his island-control authority to dock their ship.
Pizzaro usually appears smiling. He frequently ends his sentences with "Nya," which is the Japanese counterpart of "Meow," and shows a hint of nostalgia. He also has a strong urge to take charge. He also appears to be a little disgruntled at times.
Additionally, he responds to most circumstances casually and appears to be cool-headed. He was corrupt and self-centred while he was king, abusing his position of power to advance his agenda, which ultimately resulted in his suspension by the people.
He resembles a cat in many ways, including having cyan hair that resembles a wild mane and eyes that are slit like a cat's, with white horns affixed to his head by black metal plates underneath. His mustache, which complements his feline appearance, is a lighter shade of blue than the rest of his hair. It is enormous and drooping, extending approximately the same length as his shoulders. He also doesn't have any eyebrows.
Even when imprisoned, he did not wear a prisoner's uniform like the other Impel Down escapees (except for Shiryu). Rather, he wears a long fur coat with a dark brown and white design and light purple necklaces, which are part of his royal attire.
His arms had always been mostly hidden since his first appearance, although at one time it was shown that he was wearing black and dark bronze metallic gloves. He also had black vambraces with a spiral design. It is also shown that his jaw is missing a few of his upper teeth. In terms of stature and width, he is comparable to Blackbeard and other members of his new crew. Following the time skip, he wears an elaborate crown with Jolly Roger from the Blackbeard Pirates and has his beard finished in three points.
Although Pizarro's full range of skills is still unknown, when the World Government arrested him, he was strong enough to be held in Level 6 of Impel Down. The fact that Blackbeard only selected Level 6 inmates who could hold their own against everyone else in a free-for-all conflict when he recruited them is another indication of his strength. Pizarro is therefore among the most formidable Level 6 inmates.
He held power over people as king of a North Blue nation, but because of his misuse, they overthrew him and denied him these benefits. He acquired the power that came with the position after taking command of the Fourth Ship of the Blackbeard Pirates. Pizzaro also has superhuman durability.
Pizarro consumed the Shima Shima no Mi, a Devil Fruit of the Paramecia variety that enables him to transform his body into an island. He can manipulate any man-made structures as well as the natural world once he has been integrated. He senses human movement on the island where he is merged, as though something were tickling a matching area of his body. Additionally, he can make his face appear anywhere on the island, in any size, and on any surface.
Because his arms were constantly hidden by something, he used unidentified weapons in the manga. He was shown using flintlocks against Whitebeard in the anime.
