The Bat SMILE grants the user the physical characteristics of a bat. The SMILE Fruit was made to grant the user the power of animal transformation, like the Zoan-type Devil Fruit.

Once Batman ate the Bat SMILE, he got all the characteristics of a bat. He has bat wings that are attached to his waist and allow him to fly. He also possesses bat ears which allow him to hear six times better than a normal human could. Batman is also quite skilled in archery and he can shoot arrows when he is in mid flight. He is also able to control the direction of his arrows with the help of sonar.
Batman uses his Busoshoku Haki in his attacks; this can be seen in his fight against Luffy. He can also hear what people are saying over a great distance. He also has enhanced physical abilities and can hold down power opponents too.
Bat SMILE doesn't have its own weaknesses other than the standard SMILE fruit weakness like an inability to swim and not being able to express any negative emotions, irrespective of what they are feeling.
The SMILE fruits were invented by Caesar Clown. He did this so that he could create artificial Zoan-type Devil Fruits. After the SMILES were created at a factory in Dressrosa, they were given to Kaido so that he could have an army of Devil Fruit users. He fed the SMILE users Gifters which made them strong and powerful.
The SMILE fruit is in the shape of an apple with yellow and medium yellow dots on them.
