History

Past

When Gol D. Roger was executed, a ten-year-old Blueno, fifteen-year-old Jabra, and eight-year-old Rob Lucci were practicing the Rokushiki technique and plotting the assassination of the other CP9 candidates on their native land. They put in a lot of training to become "stronger than justice."

Four CP-9 agents took personas in the city of Water 7. Blueno started working as a barman, and Rob Lucci, Kaku, and Kalifa joined the Galley-La Company as employees.

They attempted to get close enough to seize the Pluton blueprints that Iceburg was holding while also earning the respect and trust of the city. They were unaware that a year later, Iceburg had given Tom's other student, Cutty Flam, the blueprints, and that he had returned to the city under the alias "Franky".

Water 7 Arc

Blueno chatted with Franky and Paulie about life and their goings-on while he was employed as a barman. Unaware that Blueno was an agent himself, he had a pleasant conversation with Franky and Kokoro regarding the mystery of whether or not CP9 was real based on what Kokoro had heard. When he and the rest of CP9 attacked Paulie and Iceburg in search of the Pluton blueprints, he quickly revealed his true self.

He was the agent that Chopper and Robin encountered while out on the streets of Water 7, and he was also the agent whose Devil Fruit abilities were utilized in the two Iceburg assassination attempts. He went into combat with the Straw Hat Pirates and demonstrated his Rokushiki skills. They set the building on fire, left Iceburg and Paulie in the fire, and blamed the Straw Hats for it. Afterward, CP9 visited Franky's hiding place to look for the Pluton blueprints. Despite Blueno's need for Rob Lucci's help, they managed to capture Franky and Usopp after failing to locate the blueprints.

Blueno stopped Sanji, Franky, and Sogeking from trying to save Robin during the Sea Train ride to Enies Lobby. Lucci said that Sanji's time as a barman had diminished his skills when he attempted to kick Blueno with his strongest kicks, causing him to tremble. Blueno used his air door ability to get to the other cart and retrieve Robin when Franky attempted to use his strength to separate the carts.

He defeated Sogeking with ease and made fun of Sanji, saying that they were no match for CP9 and that it was best that Robin died because they didn't know anything about her past. Sanji made an attempt to stop him and Robin from taking off, but he was unable to do so.

Enies Lobby Arc

Blueno and the others eventually made it to Enies Lobby. Their boss Spandam and the other agents, whom they hadn't seen in years, were present when they met up. Blueno's level was 820, based on Fukurou's test results for the other Doriki users. Jabra was startled and terrified to be in the vicinity of Kaku and Kalifa when Spandam gave them Devil Fruits.

When Blueno saw that Jabra believed the two fruits Spandam gave to Kaku and Kalifa would cause him to blow up from his own powers upon touching them. When the Straw Hats broke into Enies Lobby during the debriefing, Blueno realized something was wrong because Spandam's Den Den Mushi was no longer in effect. His instincts were correct when he met and confronted Monkey D. Luffy on the roof of the Courthouse of Justice.

He informed Luffy that over 170 countries worldwide are united under the World Government and that declaring war at Enies Lobby would turn them into global enemies. That didn't bother Luffy, who made the decision to battle Blueno in order to reach Robin. Luffy literally pounded the CP9 agent around the roof as he showed him his new Gear 2 technique.

Luffy went to use a Jet Bazooka to eliminate him after a little more battle. Blueno was able to stay upright after the collision because he chose to confront the attack head-on with his strongest Tekkai, Tekkai Gou, as opposed to sidestepping it. Just as Luffy was about to demonstrate his Gear 3 technique to him, Blueno passed out from a delayed reaction after being knocked out by the Gear 2 move.

CP9’s Independent Repost

Blueno proved to be CP9's savior after the Buster Call destroyed Enies Lobby, using his Air Door to shield them from the Marines' onslaught that would have destroyed the island. Despite their wounds, they had made it through their battles with the Straw Hats, but Lucci needed major medical care because of the damage he had sustained in his fight with Luffy.

Later, Blueno and Jabra got to know of Spandam's schemes to kidnap them and use them as scapegoats for the mission's failure. After that, CP9 strolled down the Sea Train tracks to exit Enies Lobby. Once in St. Poplar, they started performing on the streets to raise money for Lucci's medical expenses. While Jabra, in his full wolf form, delighted audiences by leaping through fire hoops, he collected the money.

He paid for Lucci's medical care and then sat with Fukurou, Kaku, and Jabra at a café, reading a newspaper while the others made jokes, while they waited for Kalifa and Kumadori to return with the groceries. Lucci went bowling with the other members of CP9 after his release from the hospital. But CP9 dealt with the pirate issue when the Candy Pirates stormed the town. One of the pirates on the ship was kicked by Blueno.

The villagers initially praised the agents for taking action against the pirates, but after seeing Lucci take harsh justice on the defeated pirates, their opinion of the agents drastically shifted. The agents made the decision to leave St. Poplar after displaying such a terrifying image of themselves to the locals. However, a young girl who was held captive by the pirates gave them a flower as a token of gratitude just before they left.

With this gift in hand, they took control of the Candy Pirates' vessel and set sail for their own country. When they arrived, they watched as the incoming class of CP9 agents was trained. They discovered that Spandam's pursuers had caught up to them while they were observing. The agents dealt with these people in order to defend their homeland. Lucci delivered a message to their former leader while Blueno held his head and a Den Den Mushi.

Lucci reassured Spandam that they would return for him eventually, and the agents took control of their assailants' vessel and left their home country. But they did plant the flower the appreciative girl gave them before they left.

Timeskip

Cypher Pol rehired Blueno as an agent at some point during the time skip.

Wano Country Arc

Four Revolutionary Army commanders attacked the Domain of the Gods on the fourth day of the Levely. As the two admirals, Fujitora and Ryokugyu, engaged the revolutionaries inside the World Nobles' mansion, Blueno, and other CP0 agents stood outside the Celestial Dragon Gate.

Blueno and his CP0 associates were seen in a Pangaea Castle guest room where a Vivi prisoner was being held. While Jabra and Kalifa watched over their prisoner, he was playing cards with other CP0 agents. One Piece Film: Red

To fulfil her dream of performing for everyone on Earth, Uta planned a concert on Elegia. Blueno had infiltrated the concert and was there. He was drawn into Uta World after hearing Uta sing. While Blueno, Koby, and Helmeppo of SWORD were in the crowd helping Uta, her admirers helped the diva track down Monkey D. Luffy and his allies.

Despite the jurisdictional dispute, the Cypher Pol concurred with Koby that they should set aside their disagreements in order to confront the present threat and decided to use his Doru Doru no Mi to relocate them within Uta World.

After Uta's humiliating public beating of Saint Charlos and his supporters in front of a horrified audience, Blueno invited Koby to the stage to address the crowd and reveal Uta's true intention to trap everyone in the dream world. Uta's response to her fans' anger was to create a flood that turned everyone into plush toys. Blueno managed to pull Koby out, but he was unable to escape the flood himself, so he was turned into a chibi doll.

Even with their reduced size and difficulty to pass through, he was still able to create doors. Even though he was at a disadvantage, Blueno persisted in helping Uta battle Tot Musica, fighting alongside the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies. Blueno, the Thousand Sunny, the Trafalgar Water Law, and Bartolomeo served as Charlotte Brûlée's guardians while the others vanquished Tot Musica. Charlotte Brûlée utilized her Mirro-World to get all the civilians to safety.

Personality

Blueno had been living undercover for the previous five years, posing as a humble and friendly bartender. However, like the other members of his CP9 unit stationed in Water 7, he eventually dropped this facade to reveal his true identity as an emotionless, killing machine dedicated to justice. Blueno is almost always cool under pressure, suggesting that this is his natural temperament.

This contrasts with his other CP9 allies, Kaku, Lucci, Kalifa, Jabra, Fukurou, and Kumadori, who are shown enjoying combat, playing tricks on their opponents. As a result, Blueno becomes a symbol of the ruthless, evil functions of the World Government, particularly when it comes to employing Nico Robin to blackmail her by triggering her traumas in the first place.

He is also a cunning and clever man because he was the only CP9 agent to suspect that something was wrong in Enies Lobby when he saw that Spandam's Den Den Mushi was freed. When his suspicions were confirmed, he left the Tower of Justice to look into it and confront Luffy. He is equally astounded as the others to find a pirate able to match and even surpass him in combat.

He has a strong sense of confidence in his own abilities and Rokushiki skills. Blueno is an extremely clever and sly person who can pass for a nice bartender in Water 7 for about five years while simultaneously looking for the city's blueprints for the legendary Pluton vessel without any suspicion.

Appearance

Blueno is a tall man with large lips, a black beard, and black hair styled to resemble a bull's horns. He wore an apron over a black and yellow polka-dotted shirt when he worked as a bartender. He had on a black two-piece suit as a CP9 agent, with a sweater undershirt and a white handkerchief in his breast pocket.

He was wearing a cloak with a checkered pattern and beaded necklaces when he interacted with Robin in Water 7. In addition to this outfit, he wore two masks. He started by wearing a mask that had lipstick markings around his eyes and down his cheeks. Then, after leaving the former in the Galley-La Company, he put on a drowsy, smiling bear mask.

Blueno is seen holding a baseball bat in his left hand and a baseball glove in his right, while wearing a black and white striped T-shirt and shorts. It turned out that Blueno was a keen baseball player in childhood. At the time of Gol D. Roger's execution, he appeared less bulky and slightly more overweight during his training period

Blueno’s abilities, strengths, and fighting style

Blueno has amazing superhuman physical strength with an 820 Doriki, thanks to extensive training in the Rokushiki martial arts. Even though the shipwrights from Galley-La are extremely strong and skilled fighters, he was able to defeat them all. With one blow, he was able to take out Tilestone, a very powerful and big man.

He can move at a high speed while using Soru and dodge all of Luffy's punches at point-blank range because he has lightning-fast reflexes and extreme agility. Luffy mentioned that Blueno has exceptional resilience and stamina as well.

Furthermore, he was able to withstand all of Luffy's Gear 2-enhanced attacks and Sanji's kicks, which have the power to easily smash steel and monsters. Later, he recovered enough to save his fellow CP9 agents on his own. Blueno has strengthened after two years, as evidenced by his promotion to the elite CP0.

Blueno’s special abilities

Devil Fruit

Blueno ate the Doa Doa no Mi which is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that gives him the ability to create an open door on any surface of his choice. He states that his doors return to their original state after a certain amount of time. He can simply access areas that are otherwise unreachable, like locked rooms, by using his doors.

Furthermore, he has the ability to open small doors that he can use to trap his opponents' feet and trap them in place, as well as open doors that allow him to move freely throughout the entire area, positioning himself for sneak attacks. Even in the air, he has the ability to create doors that lead to what. Luffy became dizzy as a result of Blueno's ability to create doors on people. He did this to his face and it spun like a revolving door.

Rokushiki

Among the group, Blueno's Tekkai appears to be the strongest, and he was the first to share any variations of the move. Though not as proficient as Jabra, Blueno is knowledgeable enough about the physics of Tekkai to create variations that let him move alongside Tekkai. He also demonstrates some tactical skill by taking his time to figure out how to lessen Luffy's increased speed.

When they fought in Enies Lobby, Luffy was able to overcome him despite this advantage by using his new Gear 2. Blueno, has a Doriki of 820, was the fourth most potent member of the CP9 group.

Haki

Blueno has the ability to use Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki.
