Camel in One Piece

After Kuzan resigned from the Marines, Camel became his companion. In the Punk Hazard arc, they were seen in the middle of the ocean, heading to Punk Hazard. During Kuzan's confrontation with Donquixote Doflamingo, Camel was nearby, sleeping.

In From the Decks of the World: The 500,000,000 Man Arc, Camel was seen cooking barbecue while Kuzan read a newspaper.

Camel is a lazy super penguin that enjoys sleeping, and it has been shown to be compatible with Kuzan. There is also a note from an SBS stating that Camel doesn't like to be called cute.

Camel is mostly dark blue with a white lining around its face. It has a white front bordered with spotted dark blue markings, a dark blue lining, and then a white lining. It has a long, narrow beak that points downward at the tip.

Its beak is mostly pink with a yellow rim closest to its face. Camel is fairly large, several times the size of its master Kuzan, and it wears an extremely large knapsack on its back, presumably holding Kuzan's possessions.

Camel, being a super penguin, is great at swimming. It can also cook barbecue all by itself.

The name "Camel" is likely inspired by the brand of cigarettes smoked by Shunsaku Kudo, the lead character in the 1979 TV series Detective Story, played by Yusaku Matsuda. Kuzan, the character heavily modelled after Matsuda, shares this connection.
