In a control room with Lilith and Pythagoras, Edison monitored the S-Shark Seraphim's battle against some Straw Hat Pirates. However, Edison kept getting distracted by new invention ideas and left to test them.
When CP0 blocked all exits and Vegapunk contacted their secret ally Stussy, Edison expressed concern about their unsafe future but noted that escape had become easier. As the Seraphim went to the Labophase on their own, Edison and Lilith went outside to take control. Edison successfully made the Seraphim stop attacking the Labophase after Stussy subdued Lucci and Kaku.
Later, Edison joined the Straw Hats, Stussy, and the other satellites in the control room to search for the main Vegapunk after repairing Atlas.
Edison, along with Brook and Nami, searches for Stella in Tower A Floor 3. Nami gets sidetracked by manmade diamonds, leaving Edison bewildered. Later, S-Shark attacks and knocks out Edison. Nami cares for him, telling him to "hang in there."
Edison rejoins the group after capturing the traitor York, though his injuries are not repaired. Despite being injured, Edison, Vegapunk, and Atlas attempt to crack the code on the Frontier Dome placed by York, successfully doing so. Edison is horrified when Kizaru suddenly appears in the Control Room and surprised when Monkey D. Luffy in his giant form grabs Kizaru. While Vegapunk and Atlas travel to the Fabriophase, Edison stays behind and opens the Frontier Dome for them.
Edison is always very busy and full of energy. He loves coming up with new ideas and trying out experiments all the time. Even when there's danger, like when CP0 wanted to harm Vegapunk, Edison was still thinking of new things. He gets really excited and shouts "Eureka!" whenever he has a good idea, showing how happy he is about inventing new things.
Edison also cares about Vegapunk's friends. He was worried that Stussy might get into trouble with the government if they found out she was on Vegapunk's side. When CP0 came close to causing problems for Vegapunk and his team, Edison wasn't sure if he should reach out to Stussy to avoid putting her at risk.
Though he's usually full of energy, Edison doesn't like violence. Lilith's threatening behavior surprised him, showing that he might be a bit cautious around aggressive situations.
Edison has the body of a small robot. Interestingly, his head is shaped like an American football with rabbit ear-like appendages, and his eyes bulge out from an opening in the front.
Like other satellites, he has his number “03” branded on his body, specifically his forehead.
Additionally, he wears a jacket with green on the left side and white on the right, featuring the kanji for "idea" on the right breast and a spear-like pattern on the left.
As Vegapunk's satellite, Edison contributes to technological developments, focusing on conceiving and mapping out inventions. He also wears a jetpack to fly and hover in the air.
Edison's name could be a reference to Thomas Edison, the renowned American inventor known for inventions like the light bulb, gramophone, and motion picture camera.
Alternatively, Edison's name may be inspired by the moon crater named Edison on Earth's moon, akin to other satellites like Pythagoras and Atlas.
Edison's habit of shouting "Eureka" aligns with the famous interjection associated with celebrating discoveries, commonly attributed to the Ancient Greek mathematician and philosopher Archimedes.
As of now, Edison is the sole surviving male satellite.
