History

Past

South Blue is where Heracles was born. He started on a journey as a botanist when he was 23 years old. Three years later, Heracles and company reached the Boin Archipelago. A year later, he lost his allies, but he carried on with his studies by himself.

Amazon Lily Arc

Heracles saved Usopp from a gigantic beetle after Bartholomew Kuma had banished him to the Boin Archipelago. Despite his gratitude to Heracles, Usopp expressed disbelief at his suggestion to consume the enormous insect.

A massive man-eating plant attempted to consume Usopp while he was preoccupied, but Heracles once again saved him. Heracles advised Usopp to use greater caution if he was to preserve his life and belongings.

Straw Hat Separation Arc

Later on, Heracles and Usopp were spotted eating ramen in a section of the vast forest that was made exclusively of edible food. Usopp was starving and staring at the food, which caused the Straw Hat sharpshooter to gain weight, while Heracles was gasping and staring at him in disbelief.

Marineford Arc

Usopp discovered the details of the Whitebeard War when a News Coo brought a newspaper to the Archipelago. He then made a valiant effort to leave the island in order to assist his ill friend and captain Monkey D. Luffy in healing from the shock of his brother's loss. Usopp was fighting a gigantic insect, and Heracles was trying to stop him, but Usopp was able to get past it.

After Usopp was defeated, Heracles warned him that as he attempted to leave the island's center, an increasing number of hazardous monsters would emerge. Despite Heracles's cautions, Usopp disregarded them and left again. Heracles informed Usopp that the enormous beasts drawn to the scent of the island made it hard for them to escape.

It was then discovered that the island was actually a huge carnivorous plant known as the Stomach Baron. He saw that the island was starting to move and advised Usopp to cling to something. Thankfully, Heracles prevented Usopp from plunging into the island's mouth as the island shifted once again. When Heracles asked Usopp why he had suddenly changed his behavior after hearing the story, he said that Luffy was hurting from the loss of his brother and that he needed to be there for him.

Heracles questioned Usopp about what he was reading at the time as he was reading the story about Luffy returning to Marineford. A little later, Heracles and Usopp were making their daily escape from the island's hazardous monsters. Heracles questioned what the pirate read when he observed the strong resolve Usopp had acquired as a result of reading the newspaper. Usopp informed Heracles of Luffy's message and then requested training from Heracles, claiming that Heracles could teach him several skills, including combat and shooting.

Usopp addressed him as "Sensei" and "Amazing Warrior" before noting how awesome his name was. After reading all of these remarks, Heracles became enthusiastic and consented to train Usopp. He started by teaching him about the many plants on the island and how to utilize them for different purposes in combat, starting with Pop Green and its growth and energy qualities. For two years, he trained Usopp to utilize Pop Greens until the time came for him to rejoin his team.

Sabaosy Archipelago Arc

Heracles and Usopp made their way to the Sabaody Archipelago after fleeing the Boin Archipelago. Heracles gave the order for a gang of enormous beetles to keep back the Marines and prevent them from chasing the Straw Hats as they were about to set sail for Fish-Man Island. In addition, he sent his warmest wishes to Usopp.

One Piece film: Gold

Heracles was there when the Straw Hat Pirates first arrived in Gran Tesoro's enormous casino.

From the Decks of the World: The 500,000,000 Man Arc

Heracles learned about the Straw Hats' successes at Dressrosa as he was riding his enormous beetle. It was made clear that he would not be going back to the Boin Archipelago just yet.

Personality

Heracles has a strange tendency to append "n" to people's names and he also makes a point of introducing himself several times.

Despite his typical easygoing demeanor, Heracles is not slow to respond when he perceives danger. Additionally, it appears that he is a simple target for praise and flattery.

Appearance

Heracles wears beetle-inspired armor that resembles a superhero outfit, complete with a mantle, a purple cloak, and a mask covering his face. His limbs and legs are rather slender, and his torso is formed like a circle.

Heracles’s abilities, strengths, and fighting style

The primary weapons used by Heracles in battle are explosives and spears. It seems like he attacks really quickly. Despite his spherical look, he is powerful and healthy, as seen by the way he uses only one kick to fight a man-eating plant and a gigantic insect. In addition, he is well knowledgeable about the various flora and fauna on the island where he resides, and his armor provides him with extra protection.

He has Pop Greens in his belt as a supply. It appears that he can even command enormous insects. He has a tendency to be clumsy and careless with his painful techniques, despite his incredible strength and combat prowess; a spear he threw to kill a giant beetle nearly skewered Usopp in the head, and to protect Usopp from a carnivorous sunflower, he punched Usopp to create a projectile that defeated the plant.

Relationships

Usopp

Heracles is quite kind to Usopp and is eager to assist him when he first arrives on the Boin Archipelago, therefore the two have a very good connection. He repeatedly prevents Usopp from being eaten, suggesting that he is concerned about his welfare. He was worried about Usopp's quick weight gain and relieved to learn that, following the news of Luffy, he was committed to cutting back on his intake.

He was taken aback by Usopp's renewed determination to fortify himself and promptly consented to impart to him all of his knowledge of the flora and fauna of the island. Before the time jump, Usopp was a shy and weak person. Heracles helped him become a more skilled sharpshooter and improved his fighting skills. After helping Usopp get to the island so he could meet up with his crew, he assisted them in escaping the Sabaody Archipelago.
