When Jorul and Jarul were the Giant Warrior Pirates captains, they fought together for three hundred years. But in the end, they gave up this position and were hailed as heroes. Jorul and Jarul went to Warland Village to eat semla with the Sheep's House kids sixty-one years before the series' current events. After that, the 12-day fast for the Winter Solstice started, but on the seventh day, Charlotte Linlin, a member of Sheep's House, went on a food-craving rampage around the village. Jorul named Linlin a wicked spirit in the guise of a child and raised his sword against her despite her age and Carmel's requests.
Linlin then managed to break Jorul's blade with her bare hands before he could knock her down. He was then fatally injured when Linlin grabbed him by the beard and pushed him to the ground. As he breathed his final breath, Jorul commanded the other giants to judge Linlin. Although the giants hurried to heal him, his advanced age caused him to pass away from his wounds.
Jorul valued the warriors from Elbaph, as seen when he praised Hajrudin for training and wanting to be the leader of the Giant Warrior Pirates. At a feast, he expressed gratitude for the children, displaying his kindness and regard for them. Though he believed that even children could only be tolerated to a certain degree before their crimes were punished, he took Elbaph's customs extremely seriously and was prepared to kill Charlotte Linlin, a little child, for violating them and causing destruction to Elbaph.
Jorul was a giant with a beard that reached the ground and a mustache that was so big it resembled a waterfall. There was a circle of triangles in the shape of fangs around the center of his plaid shirt. The dark belt around that circle had a skull pattern on the buckle, which was the Jolly Roger of the Giant Warrior Pirates. He also had a fur cape with spiral patterns over his shoulders. He wore dark jeans, and his legs were short for his height.
Even among the giants of Elbaph, Jorul was a very strong warrior and a former captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates. As a hero, he was greatly admired, and Hajrudin had the highest regard for him. But as he grew older, his body weakened, and he died after being flung to the ground by a furious Linlin.
He was seen attacking Charlotte Linlin with a longsword, even though it broke against her body's natural strength. The sword currently lies on Jorul's grave after being bandaged and mended.
Giants all over the world ridiculed Linlin for the devastation of the village and Jorul's death, particularly when she innocently questioned his death because she didn't remember it. In particular, Hajrudin hurried in and begged Jarul to murder Linlin in retaliation. Jarul spared the child out of respect for Carmel, even though he was saddened by the loss of his lifetime friend and angry at Linlin for causing it in a way that was extremely shameful for an Elbaph warrior.
Jorul and several other dead giants were buried on top of a hill near the edge of the devastated village. His helmet and shattered sword were repaired with tape and used as markers for his tomb. Hajrudin, Raideen, Jarul, and at least two other giants visited him later.
