The New World refers to the second half of the Grand Line. It is located between the West and North Blue, and Fishman and Reverse Island on the other side.
Only Gol D. Roger and his crew have explored the New World fully. Islands in the New World experience changes in their magnetic waves which naked having a New World Log Pose necessary so that a person doesn't get lost.

New World is the second half of the Grand Line. it stretches from Mary Geoise to the other side of Reverse Mountain. This is a whole new place full of adventures beyond anything that one might face in the first half of the Grand Line.
The concept of the New World is unique due to the presence of four powerful pirate crews present under the reign of the Four Emperors who live in the New World. All of them possess many territories widespread across the sea.
The places that are in the New World are:
Laugh Tale is the island that is at the end of the New World which is known to have the One Piece. This name was given by Gol D. Roger after he and his crew arrived on the island and discovered that the treasure was left there by Joy Boy.
When the four Poneglyphs that are the Road Poneglyphs are read together, they lead to four locations, and when these locations are aligned it will lead to Laugh Tale.
Lodestar Island is the second last island in the Grand Line that comes before Laugh Tale. This place can be reached by following the Log Pose. all the different paths in the Grand Line ultimately meet at Lodestar Island. The Roger Pirates were the first known people to visit Lodestar.
Yukiryu Island is a winter island where it snows constantly. It only has one volcano. There are several rock formations that resemble a dragon’s body that is going in and out of the ground.
Wano Country is a place that is not affiliated with the World Government. It was previously taken over by the Beast Pirates under Kaido. When the Kozuki family was still in power, Wano was really rich in nature with flourishing forests where vegetation was thriving.
After the Beast Pirates took over Wano, most of the forest area was cleared up to set up factories to mass-produce weapons.
The Flower Capital is a place in Wano that was under the rule of Kurozumi Orochi. It is currently under the rule of Kozuki Momonosuke.
Kuri is a region of Wano that used to be under the rule of Kozuki Oden until the Beast Pirates invaded with Kurozumi Orochi. It was then ruled by All-Star Jack of the Beasts until his crew was defeated by the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance.
Udon is a region that is located southeast of Wano. before Orochi took over it was ruled by the Uzuki family. Once they were removed from power and the Beast Pirated took over, All-Star Quee became Udon’s ruler. He made Udon in an industrialized place that had weapon factories where the lower class are forced to work to death.
Kibi is a region on the west side of Wano. it was ruled by daimyo Fugetsu Omusubi and a Yakuza Boss until Orochi took over. This place like a wasteland with factories that are located on top of rock formations.
Hakumai is located in the northeast. It was ruled by Shimotsuki until Orochi took over. It is currently run down except their Mogura port and Habu port.
Ringo is located in the north. It was ruled by Shimotsuki too. This place has a wintry climate and it also contains the Northern Cemetery which is known to be haunted.
Onigashima is an island south of Wano that is considered a part of it. This is the place where Kaido lives and where he gets all the reports from his subordinates.
G-5 is a Marine Base which is located in the new World near the Red Line. this is the place where Vice Admiral Smoker and Captain Tashigi intercepted the pirates fleeing away from Fishman Island and entering the New World. Many of the buildings are damaged and in ruins.
New Marineford is an island in the New World on which the Marine Headquarters is based. It used to contain the Marine Base G-1 until the Marineford War. after the war Fleet, Admiral Sakazuki switched bases.
Totto Land is an archipelago in the New World. It constitutes the main territory of Big Mom. according to Pekoms, it is one of the largest and most powerful nations. Big Mom is the queen and she wants it to become a Utopia that will unify all races. Some of the islands out here have rivers that are made out of the juice of different colors. The different islands of Totto Land are:
100% Island: It is governed by the Minister of Jice Smoothie.
Biscuits Island: It is named after biscuits. It is located to the northwest of Whole Cake Island. It is governed by the Minister of Biscuits Cracker.
Black Island: It is governed by the Minister of Tea Dismarche.
Cacao Island: It is one of the outermost southwestern islands that is named after chocolate. There is a secret route to Whole Cake Island that is used by the Charlotte Family. It is governed by the Minister of Chocolate Lola.
Candy Island: It is located to the southwest of Whole Cake Island. It is governed by the Minister of Candy Perospero.
Cheese Island: It is named after cheese. It is located to the west of Whole Cake Island.It is governed by the Minister of Cheese Mont-d’Or.
Cutlery Island: It is named after cutlery. It is governed by the Minister of Cutlery Mascarpone.
Flavor Island: It is located to the northwest of Whole Cake Island. It is governed by the Minister of Essence Saint-Marc.
Fruits Island: It is located to the east of Whole Cake Island. It is governed by the Minister of Fruits Compote.
Funwari Island: It is located to the southwest of Whole Cake Island. It is governed by the Minister of Puff Chiffon.
Futoru Island: It is located to the southeast of Whole Cake Island. It is governed by the Minister of Tasting Mobile
Ice Island: It is located to the southeast of Whole Cake Island. It is governed by the Minister of Gelato Moscato.
Jam Island: It is named after jam. It is located to the west of Whole Cake Island.It is governed by the Minister of Jam Dacquoise.
Jelly Island: It is named after jelly. It is located to the south of Whole Cake Island.It is governed by the Minister of Agar Kanten
Kibo Island: It is governed by the Minister of Yeast Marnier.
Kimi Island: It is governed by the Minister of Eggs Citron.
Kinko Island: It is governed by the Minister of Finance Noisette.
Komugi Island: It is governed by the Minister of Flour Katakuri.
Liqueur Island: It is named after Liqueur. It is located to the northwest of Whole Cake Island.It is governed by the Minister of ALcohol Zuccotto.
Loving Island: It is governed by the Minister of Love Cornstarch.
Whole Cake Island is under the control of Big Mom. ii her crew’s main base and the central island in Big Mom’s 35- island archipelago. This island is quite large. Big Mom renamed the place ‘ Whole Cake Island’ to fulfill Carmel’s dream and its new look was to resemble a gathering of frosted cakes that are due to the enormous cake buildings built.
Mystoria Island is one of the three islands to which the new log pose points from Fishman Island in the New World. It was first mentioned by Vice Admiral Smoker. This island hasn't been introduced in manga or anime as of now.
Punk Hazard is the first island that they arrive on after the time skip. They arrived on this island after they received a distress signal from someone on the island. This island is surrounded by a sea of fire and icebergs on the other side.
Dressrosa is the island and Kingdom that was founded by the World Government. Dressrosa is the second island that was visited by the Straw Hats crew. This country is well known for its flower fields, food, women, and battle colostrum.
Zou is an island that is located on the back of a Naitamie-Norida elephant known as Zunesha that roams the New World Location. It is also known as the 'Phantom Island' due to the log poses not being able to detect it. It is also the home to the Mokomo Dukedom of the Mink Tribe.
Applenine Island is one of the three islands that surround Dressrosa. This island has houses that have roofs in the shape of an apple. These houses are covered in snow and the people wear winter clothes. The most notable feature of the island is the colossal apple that is placed in it’s center.
Karai Barai Island is the island that is occupied by Buggy’s delivery which has now been integrated into the Cross Guild. This island has palm trees and mountains in the background. This town is currently the base of operations for a new organization, Cross Guild.
Broc Coli Island is an island that is just a bit far away from Whole Cake island. It takes two days to travel from Whole Cake Island to Broc Coli Island. This island has a lot of dense forests in which the trees are in the shape of broccoli. There is a town that was there on this island but it has been damaged by war.
Germa Kingdom is also known as the Kingdom in Science. It was formed by the Vinsmoke Family. This kingdom is under the rule of the Vinsmoke family and has an underworld army known as Germa 66.
Elbaf is an island and kingdom in the New World. This place is inhabited by giants and is to be known as one of the strongest countries in the world due to its army and strength. Elbaf is located in a region known as Warland. The waters surrounding Warland are known to be dangerous.
Hachinosu is also known as the Pirate Island. It is known to be a Pirate Paradise and is currently under the rule of the Blackbeard Pirates. This is the place where the Davy Back Fight started and where the Rocks Pirates were found. After the downfall of the Rock Pirates, the island has been ruled by Ochoku before he was outed by Marshall D. Teach.
Sphinx is the place where Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard was born. This place is currently under Marco’s protection. This island is not affiliated with the World Government due to its poverty and its inability to pay the Heavenly Tribute. It is quite a small island but in reality, the people of the island live in a remote town in the valley of the mountains.
Egghead is a winter island. It is the place that has Vegapunk’s lab. It is also known as the Future islanders it is said to be ‘500 years in the future’. It is located to the southeast of Wano Country. This island is quite high tech where Vegapunk tests and exhibits his inventions.
G-14 is the official Marine Headquarters of the G-14 Branch. It is located in the New World which is near Egghead. This island has a cold climate.
Winner Island is a rocky island with large geological formations that have rounded protrusions. The sea-level portion of the island has dense forests with a barren coast. It is one of the island that follow Wano into the New World.
The term ‘New World, is in reference to the Western Hemisphere which was nicknamed the ‘New World; during the European Era.
The other islands inside Totto Land are 100% Island, Biscuits Island, Black Island, Cacao Island, Candy Island, Cheese Island, Cutlery Island, Flavor Island, Fruits Island, Funwari Island, Ice Island, Kimi Island, and many more.
The Underworld is an underground network in the black market that has all the connections and illicit dealings which is way beyond the World Government’s control.
