The Oykot Kingdom is a country in the East Blue region. This is the place where Belle-mère first met Nami and Nojiko.

The Oykot Kingdom was attacked by pirates twenty years ago. Belle-mère and her group were sent by the Marines to help the people of the kingdom. Belle-mère fought valiantly, but she eventually lost all hope of success and was prepared to let herself die there, but Nojiko showed up with a baby Nami in her arms, and thus Belle-mère made the decision to adopt the girls and bring them to her village.
Nami is an orphan of war from the Oykot Kingdom. She and Nojiko were taken away by Belle-mère to Cocoyasi Village, where they both grew up together with Belle-mère as their adopted mother.
Nojiko is also one of the known inhabitants of the Oykot Kingdom before getting adopted by Belle-mère, and living in Cocoyasi Village.
Okyot is “Tokyo” spelled backwards.
