Ripley met Scopper Gaban 20 years ago, sometime after the Roger Pirates were disbanded and Gol D. Roger was put to death. The two eventually had a son named Colon.
When Saul was greeted by the Straw Hat Pirates at the Walrus School, Ripley was around. The Straw Hats were pursued around by the schoolchildren, and the pirates eventually landed on top of Ripley, who revealed that Harald's philosophy in fair trade was the reason why the warrior way of life declined in Elbaph.
She got confused when Luffy only responded that it was his "appearance when free" in response to her question about his Nika transformation. Ripley scolded her son Colon for attacking Luffy when he got to the Walrus School, but she also praised his swordsmanship. She gave the Straw Hats an explanation of their relationship after Colon brought up the fact that his father is human.
Ripley later took Franky on a tour of Elbaph's Adam Tree, mocking him for insisting on not taking any despite Saul's warnings. To Franky's shock, Ripley revealed that the painting cut into the bark was a cultural relic created during the Void Century. She added that there was no way to determine the real meaning of the carvings and that they might just be kid-drawn images or a prophecy.
Ripley is a carefree woman who ignores personal decorum and openly uses insulting words despite hypocritically reprimanding her kids for misbehavior. She is also a supporter of the late King Harald's theory, which places more emphasis on international trade and peace than on conflict and conquest. Like a lot of giants, Ripley is interested in Nika.
Ripley is a slim, huge woman. Her unique feature is a sleek tattoo that extends from her left foot to her left temple, covering the entire left side of her body. Her bangs partially conceal the right side of her face, and her long, light hair is styled in front in braids. She is dressed in a fur cape, a short skirt supported by leather belts, fuzzy boots with bands, and a dark tank top with an image of a horned Jolly Roger.
Ripley is incredibly strong for a giant. As a member of Elbaph's most recent warrior generation, she is also a skilled fighter. Given that she teaches biology, Ripley probably knows enough about the subject to instruct her students on it.
