The Scorpion SMILE grants the user the physical characteristics of a scorpion. Once Daifugo ate the Scorpion SMILE Fruit, he got scorpion legs, a scorpion's tail, and a stinger on top of his head. When someone eats a SMILE they can transform into an animal, just like a Zoan- type Devil fruit user.

When Daifugo ate the Scorpion SMILE, he gained all the characteristics of a scorpion. The Devil Fruit allows him to walk walls and ceilings. He can even strike his enemies with the help of his hair and stinger. He can be seen using a sword. He also makes use of two flintlocks which are loaded with bullets and contain highly contagious viruses. If this bullet hits you, then it causes you to have a severe fever which can spread instantly. If you touch another person it also infects them.
After eating the Scorpion SMILE, Daifugo gained enhanced physical abilities. He can also hold down power opponents. He possesses abilities of high resilience to things too.
This SMILE doesn't have its own weaknesses other than the standard SMILE fruits weaknesses. These weaknesses include their inability to swim and being devoid of all negative emotions.
The SMILE fruits were invented by a mad scientist known as Caesar Clown who developed a way to create artificial Zoan-type Devil Fruits with the help of a new chemical known as SAD. He made SAD in his abandoned lab in Punk Hazard which he then shipped to Donquixote Doflamingo in Dressrosa. After the SMILES were created at a factory in Dressrosa, they were given money to multiply by Kaido so that he could have an army of only Devil Fruit users.
