Vinsmoke Ichiji in One Piece

Past

Vinsmoke Ichiji and his brothers were very young when Vinsmoke Judge told them that he had enhanced their bodies. They had to train hard in order to develop and take advantage of these superhuman enhancements. Ichiji and his brother excelled in their training but Sanji was left behind. Ichiji and his brothers used to get irritated with Sanji’s poor progress and took immense pleasure in bullying Sanji for being weak.

When Judge locked Sanji in a dungeon and said that Sanji had died, Ichiji said that Sanji was useless whether he was dead or alive. When Ichiji got to know that Sanji was still alive, he and his brothers used to bully him even more. When Sanji left the Germa Kingdom, it amused Ichiji, and he and his brothers imagined ways in which Sanji might die if left on his own.

Whole Cake Island

On Broc Coli Island, Ichiji and Niji commanded a platoon of Germa 66 to put an end to the war. They then received pay from the winning side. When Ichiji said he was thrilled to see Sanji, Niji called him a liar. Later, when he and Sanji ate dinner together, Ichiji informed Sanji about the discussion he and his siblings had prior to leaving Germa. Sanji disregarded whatever Niji stated. Sanji called Niji spoilt when he refused to eat what was on his plate, and he intervened to defend the Head Chef when Niji was going to harm her. Ichiji reacted by saying that Sanji had humiliated their family by eating the food that was on the floor.

Later, Ichiji and the other siblings saw Sanji at the Germa Lab. After being made fun of for being weak, Sanji reacted by hitting Niji but was eventually defeated by the other siblings. Following that, Ichiji and the rest of the Vinsmoke Family departed the Germa Kingdom and went in to find Big Mom's palace. They witnessed Sanji and Luffy fighting as they traveled when Luffy and Nami came to rescue Sanji. Sanji returned to the carriage after fighting Luffy, and as they were traveling, Luffy claimed that he would wait for Sanji. Ichiji chuckled at this. When they arrived at the Palace, the Vinsmoke family noticed Big Mom's collection of exotic creatures. Judge told Ichiji and his other siblings that, in order to have the upper hand on Big Mom, they would take Pudding with them after the wedding.

Ichiji dressed up and headed to the wedding location with his family on the day of the wedding. When it was announced that the bride and groom were prepared, everyone gathered and sat down at the main table at the base of the altar. The Charlotte Family held the Vinsmoke family at gunpoint as the assassination attempt started. Sanji appeared to save them and return their raid suits as Perospero was about to shoot them. They hurried to aid their father in his struggle against Big Mom, but she had them in her grip. Niji and Yonji returned to the battle after carrying an unconscious Judge to safety. Ichiji fought with Katakuri but lost.

Later, as Big Mom was about to surround Sanji and Luffy, Ichiji and his brothers arrived just in time to protect them from the approaching attack. Niji and his brothers were shot with anti-Germa bullets by the Big Mom Pirates after Sanji kidnapped Luffy and fled, but despite their wounds, they continued to fight until the Straw Hats retreated. After leaving Totto Land, Germa 66 was ready to withdraw.

Vinsmoke Ichiji is very proud of his royal status and looks down on people who are beneath him. Even though he is a prince, he does not care about politics. He does not have empathy and sympathy due to the genetic alterations made by Vinsmoke Judge. Ichiji has not been able to experience emotions since birth. He had such a profound emotional detachment that even when he was threatened with death, he showed no emotion.

Unlike his brother, Ichiji is usually very calm but when he is provoked, he shows his real anger. He can also be very dangerous and vicious on the battlefield. Even though he is ruthless, Ichiji has a sense of appreciation and gratitude. He can be lecherous and was lovestruck with Nami when he saw her but he is able to put this behavior behind and think rationally when the situation calls for it.

Vinsmoke Ichiji has red hair with the signature Vinsmoke Family curly eyebrows. He is slim, with long legs and is taller than Niji. His hair is styled into three-prominent cowlicks on the right side and it curls up. There is a number ‘1’ tattoo on his right arm. When he is commanding Germa 66, he wears a dark red suit with white gauntlets, a red ascot, and a white cape. Casually he wears a dark shirt with an upturned collar and a light cravat with light-colored pants. For formal events, he is seen wearing a floor-length, single-shoulder royal cape and an upturned collar with a neck clasp. As a child, Ichiji did not wear glasses and wore a red shirt with the number ‘1’ on it, white pants with brown boots, and a dark magenta-reddish bandana around his neck.

Vinsmoke Ichiji has political power over his people and has an influence on the World Government. He also has access to all the advanced technology that his family developed. He also has a very strong will as he received genetic modification which has given him superhuman abilities. As a child, his speed and agility were on the level of an adult man. He also has a very durable outer skeleton. He has immense physical strength and is able to overpower his opponents. Just like his brother, he has a strong tolerance for alcohol. He is also very proficient in hand-to-hand combat.

Sparing Red

Vinsmoke Ichiji has an ability that gave him the name ‘Sparkling Red’. With this, he is able to release blasts of light energy from his hands and eyes which can pierce through his enemies. He is also able to unleash this energy when he delivers punches with deadly blows that are powerful enough to break through walls.

Equipment

Vinsmoke Ichiji possesses a raid suit which he wears while fighting. This suit protects him from fire, bullets, and strong blows. It also gives him jet-propelled shoes.

Vinsmoke Judge

Vinsmoke Judge has tremendous regard for his "beloved" oldest son. Even if it meant forging a strong political alliance, he refused to think about marrying Sanji off to one of Big Mom's daughters and he also had no problem with Ichiji's bullying of Sanji as a youngster. In response, Ichiji frequently demonstrates respect for his father. Ironically, as Judge had stripped Ichiji of his emotions before he was even conceived, Ichiji was ignorant of the Vinsmoke Family's imminent death when the Big Mom Pirates exposed their treachery. The eldest son just called Judge's response pitiful, despite the fact that Judge screamed in agony.

Vinsmoke Sora

Vinsmoke Sora took dangerous medicine throughout her pregnancy with Ichiji and his siblings in an effort to save him from losing his emotions. But Ichiji recovered from Judge's operation, and Sora later passed away from the drug's side effects in Ichiji's early years. How their relationship when Sora was still alive is unknown.

Vinsmoke Reiju

Not a lot is known about Vinsmoke Reiju and Vinsmoke Ichiji’s relationship. When he returned to the Germa Kingdom, Reiju was seen smiling, indicating that at the very least they are friends. Unknown to Ichiji, Reiju hates him in private, due to his violent tendencies. She believes that none of them have a place in the world and has no intention of doing anything to prevent the Big Mom Pirates from murdering him, in spite of the fact that she feels sorry for Ichiji and her other two brothers since the Judge altered their feelings.

Vinsmoke Niji

Ichiji and his younger brother, with whom he has co-commanded Germa 66 soldiers in war, seem to get along well. On their way back to the Germa Kingdom, Ichiji asks Niji to be quiet, and he complies without saying anything. Niji has some degree of respect for his elder brother.

Sanji

Sanji was bullied by Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji when they were younger for having an "unroyal" interest in cooking. As with his brothers, Ichiji took great pleasure in brutally beating Sanji. During a training session, Ichiji once savagely and strongly beat his younger brother; he only stopped when a German soldier held him. When he found out that Sanji had "died" in an accident, Ichiji said that Sanji was useless whether he was dead or alive. As soon as he realized Sanji was still alive, he started abusing Sanji together with Niji and Yonji.

Vinsmoke Yonji

Yonji used to abuse Sanji with his two older brothers, demonstrating that they at least got along. He was also looking forward to seeing Ichiji, Niji, and Sanji again. Yonji even chuckled at Ichiji's remark that Big Mom holding Sanji prisoner would not have any impact on the family.

Subordinates

Vinsmoke Ichiji’s Germa 66 subordinates, who hold him in high regard as one of their leaders, cheered them on. Each soldier is prepared to give their life for Ichiji like a member of their royal family. When Ichiji commanded a soldier to take a bullet meant for him during that campaign, the soldier was seen doing precisely that, displaying Ichiji's lack of concern for his soldiers.

Big Mom Pirates

Big Mom tricked Ichiji and his family into joining forces when she really wanted to murder them all. Ichiji didn't feel anything, so when the Big Mom Pirates revealed their treason at the wedding, he kept his composure. Later, Ichiji decided to confront Big Mom with his family in order to give Luffy and Bege's groups a chance to escape. Later, Ichiji made the decision to confront Big Mom with his family in order to provide a window of opportunity for Luffy and Bege's groups to flee. Ichiji rushed to their help and attacked the Sweet Commander when Katakuri blocked Caesar and the Straw Hat-Fire Tank alliance's escape, but eventually, he was no match for him and was quickly defeated. Ichiji openly mocked Big Mom and her crew's plans to steal the Germa Kingdom's cloning technology by comparing them to a bunch of idiots who would be unable to accomplish anything even if they were to succeed in doing so,
