Location and History of Yakigashi Island

Yakigashi Island is one of the 34 islands that surround Totto Land, the main territory of Big Mom, an Emperor of the Sea. Not a lot is known about its history. Fukkura Town is the only known city located on Yakigashi Island.

It is stated that Yakigashi Island became a part of Big Mom's territory less than 62 years ago. Charlotte Linlin, aka Big Mom, is said to have altered the appearance of the island with her Soru Soru no Mi (Soul-Soul Fruit) and Streusen's Kuku Kuku no Mi (Cook-Cook Fruit) devil fruit powers.

Later, Charlotte Oven, the 4th son of Big Mom and the Minister of Browned Food (Minister of Baking in Viz translations), was appointed to govern Yakigashi Island.

Charlotte Oven is an officer of the Big Mom Pirates. He is the 4th son of Yonko, Big Mom. He is also the Minister of Baking of Totto Land and governs Yakigashi Island in Big Mom’s territory. Oven played the role of a major antagonist in the Whole Cake Island Arc.

Oven is a devil fruit user and he ate the Netsu Netsu no Mi, also known as the Heat-Heat Fruit, a paramecia-type devil fruit. It gave him the ability to generate heat from his body, which he could use for offense or defense.
