Lele Pons

Eleonora Pons Maronese (b. June 25, 1996), also known as Lele Pons, is a Venezuelan-Americaninternet personality singer and actress.

Pons first gained prominence in 2014 on Vine, and continued to be one of the most followed creators on the platform until Vine was shut down in 2016. She is known for her catchphrase “Do It For The Vine”.

Pons was born to Luis Guillermo Pons Mendoza, who is an architect, and Ana Maronese Pivetta, who works as a paediatrician. She has Latine ancestry on her father’s side, and Italian ancestry on her mother’s side. She was born and brought up in Caracas, Venezuela until the age of five, when she moved to Miami, Florida in the United States.

She studied in Miami Country Day School and graduated from there in 2015, after which she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in social media. Since then, she has branched out to a number of social media platforms, including YouTube and TikTok, where she posts comedy sketches as well as episodic content.

In 2018, Lele Pons took over the hosting of La Voz Mexico, a singing competition which aired on Azteca Uno.

In March 2019, Lele made her English-language and country music debut with a duet with Jake Owen called “Senorita” from his album ‘Greetings From…Jake”.

In August 2019, she released the song “Celoso”. The music video for this song was directed by fellow former Viner and creator Rudy Mancuso. The song was certified 3x Platinum and was nominated for the Premios Lo Nuestro in the ‘Video Of The Year’ category.

On December 6, 2019, Pons released her Spanish-language single and music video "Vete Pa La". The music video was directed and edited by Pons herself and produced by Shots Studios, her agency. That same month, Pons co-hosted the red carpet alongside Chelsea Briggs for the 2019 Billboard Women in Music annual event. She also started her own merchandise line in 2019.
