Tomlinson is best recognized as the “Kombucha Girl” on TikTok. She was an overnight sensation across the internet after posting a video of her tasting kombucha for the first time. The video went viral on TikTok in August 2019 and was reposted all over the internet. Since then, she has amassed over 7.1 million followers, with over 323 million on the platform.

Brittany Alexis Tomlinson was born on May 10, 1997, and raised in Dallas, Texas. Ever since she was a child, she was passionate about acting and pursed it as a hobby, participating in activities related to it throughout her childhood. She created her TikTok account in June 2019 through the recommendations of her friends. She posted her first video, a Snapchat video about her “depression meal”, which quickly went viral within a month later. Tomlinson started posting content more frequently after witnessing the popularity of her initial content. Her following posts also went viral.
Though she is known for a large variety of content, her most popular videos that went viral, showcases herself as she tastes cherry cola-flavored kombucha with rapidly changing facial expressions. The video was posted in August 2019 and first gained impressions on “gay Twitter” after being reposted with sexually-inclusive captions, eventually making it popular on Reddit and Twitter, earning over 40 million views.

Tomlinson went on to sing with Influences Management and later to United Talent Agency. Tomlinson then moved to Los Angeles with her friend and fellow TikToker Sarah Schauer in late 2019. The duo have since been producing content together. She appeared in an advertisement for Sabra hummus during Super Bowl LIV. In early 2020 she competed on the second season of the YouTube reality show The Reality House hosted by JC Caylen and Kian Lawley; but was eliminated in the first episode.
Tomlinson then featured in an episode of the Awesomeness web television series Dish This in August 2020. She was nominated for a Subject Award in Comedy at the 10th Streamy Awards. Brittany, after graduating from Texas A&M, worked at a call center for a short while. She quit and, after a brief hiatus, joined a bank and started working as an Investment Banker. Although her stint in this profession was also short-lived as she was laid off after her TikTok videos went viral, as her superiors feared it would damage the company’s reputation.

It is currently unclear what Tomlinson could have spent her earnings on, as she has managed to keep that under wraps. We can only assume that Tomlinson would have invested in beauty and fashion products, like apparel, make up, and accessories, that she has showcased on her social media platforms.
Tomlinson also runs a successful YouTube channel, which would require her to invest in audio and video equipment to create better quality content.
