Gustavo Sanches, popularly known as Davy Jones online, is a Brazilian YouTuber, live streamer, actor, and podcast host with an estimated net worth of $1-3 million as reported by various sources.
Sanches is widely regarded as one of the leading gaming YouTubers in Brazil currently. Before becoming the popular YouTuber he is today, Sanches initially worked as a business administrator until 2010. After having had enough of the corporate world and wanting to follow his true passion, he registered his now-defunct, first YouTube account under the name Pirate Studio. Subsequently, he registered his second YouTube channel on September 5, 2011, under the name Gameplayrj.
Most of his initial content was focused on Rockstar Games' popular action-adventure game Grand Theft Auto, and eventually, upon the release of GTA V, his channel became one of the most popular channels for watching GTA-related content.
Sanches soon diversified his content to cover commentaries that included news from the video game industry and pop culture. His hard work and dedication eventually paid off, and he earned a spot in the Top 10 YouTubers in Brazil in 2015.
Following earning a spot on that coveted list, Sanchez started garnering a lot of attention from the mainstream media and was invited to appear on Legends of Gaming Brazil in 2015. The following year, he appeared on TV Globo’s Zero1 program, which was hosted by Tiago Leifert, a prominent Brazilian journalist.
