“► Premiers pas sur Borderlands 2 - Gameplay découverte [FR]” is the first video on the Amixem channel. In the video, he introduces himself and reviews the key elements of the Borderlands 2 game.
In November 2015, he created his YouTube channel. It was mainly about gaming, and he posted videos of himself playing Battlefield alongside his roommate Émilien. In 2013, the channel had over 10,000 subscribers.
He then decides to broaden his horizons by creating vlogs or even videos centered on the Periscope application ("What are people doing on Périscope?"). or Le Bon Coin ("Leboncoin's Worst Ads!"). His channel had approximately 500,000 subscribers between December 2015 and January 2016. On March 31, 2016, he reached the one million subscriber mark. This figure grew over time, and by September 2017, his channel had approximately 3 million subscribers.
Amixem, along with other videographers (VodK, Neoxi, Joyca, Mastu, and Cyril), created the "Redbox", a shared workspace dedicated to video editing and production, where many studio registrations are installed.
According to the "Animat" poll of July 2018, carried out by Omnicom Media Group, which questions individuals aged between 15 and 60, Amixem is the "most loved" personality, thus ahead of other videographers and also television presenters.
According to Challenges magazine, his channel received more than 1.1 billion views and 5.4 million followers in July 2019, making him the seventh most followed YouTuber in France.
Since its inception in January 2020, 466 videos have been posted on its channel, and as of April of the same year, it has approximately 1.5 billion views and 6.3 million subscribers.
In 2018, he told Ouest-France that he founded his company at the start of the year, removing himself from the category of auto-entrepreneur. He claims to produce $4,000 to $13,000 each month, half of which is recovered by YouTube. His advertising company and the state both deduct from his earnings, so he "tries to [himself] pay a gross salary of 2,000 euros every month to live, pay [his] rents, and repay [his] credit student".
According to Net Worth Spot, Maxime has a net worth of $5.67 million as of August 2022. Amixem's YouTube channel receives over 34.7 million views every month. YouTubers can earn between $3 and $7 per thousand video views. According to Net Worth Spot, Amixem earns $138.7K every month, totaling $2.08 million per year. Optimistically, Amixem might make over $3.75 million a year. YouTubers rarely have a single source of revenue. Sponsorships, affiliate commissions, product sales, and speaking engagements may produce far more cash than adverts.
