In 2010, Chrisandthemike started vlogging on YouTube. He took a short break and came back a year later, throwing himself fully on Minecraft content. The "Minecraft Family" series, which included Chris, his father, and his stepsister ZaiLetsPlay (or ZaiLetsChat), was one of his first and most well-known shows. Chris moved in with Garlian, Ash, and Carlo, and together they streamed games on Mixer and created another "Minecraft Family" series. His marriage to Lasata dissolved in early 2016 during this time. After the team split up, Chris spoke to the crowd and urged anyone who was depressed or lonely to get treatment. After that, he stopped working with Carlo and Garlian. He and Ash then started a new channel called "Crash," where they shared vlogs. Chris made a big departure from his previous, more adult-oriented Minecraft videos by focusing his main channel on Roblox material for younger audiences.
