Early Life and Career as a YouTuber

CollegeHumor's website was launched in 1999, six years before joining YouTube. It was founded by two high school buddies, with assistance from a web developer. The website quickly acquired popularity, with 7 million monthly views. CollegeHumor gained popularity for its original comedic material. The site has been nominated for several accolades, including a Webby Award for comedy, among others.

CollegeHumor's parent firm, InterActive Corp., withdrew financing in early 2020, causing the website to shut down and lay off the majority of its personnel. However, its streaming service Dropout is still operational, although no comedic skits are broadcast, with the emphasis now on unscripted programming such as game shows.

On September 26, 2023, the fifth anniversary of the Dropout streaming service, the CollegeHumor brand was decommissioned, and the channel was renamed Dropout, as it now primarily serves to promote the streaming service. CollegeHumor created original comedic films, and the site contained a wide library of user-submitted viral videos, including home movies, weird sports highlights, skits, and so on. These videos were released one month before being placed on YouTube. Their films occasionally appeared on YouTube's trending page and won accolades, prompting further nominations.
