Ancient City (Deep Dark)

Ancient cities generate at Y=-52 within the deep dark biome.

The palace of an ancient city is made up of long corridors with blue, light blue and cyan wool or carpet floors. The city has multiple statues and there's a frame resembling a warden's head in the center of the city, where there are reinforced deepslate blocks, which are unobtainable in survival mode. The ancient city also contains some smaller ruins on the side of the main corridors, which contain one or two loot chests.

Ancient cities contain a variety of unique blocks such as soul lanterns, candles, different forms of deepslate, and sculk. Some of the structures in ancient cities resemble various elements of the game. For example, the center of the city resembles early designs of the warden, and other structures within the city resemble pillager outposts and woodland mansion rooms. There is a secret entrance in the city located at the base of the structure, underneath the wooden bridge between the city center and the wall. Within the secret entrance lies a naturally generated redstone contraption with a piston door controlled by a sculk sensor.
