How to make a Beacon in Minecraft

1. 1 Nether Star
2. 3 Obsidian
3. 5 Glass

Step-by-Step Guide(with Pictures):

To make a beacon in minecraft, you need to follow these step-by-step guide:

Step-1 First, open a crafting table menu.

TIP: If you are unsure how to use a crafting table or how to make one, check out this guide.

Step-2 Once inside the crafting table menu, place 3 glass blocks throughout the top row. In the second row, there should be 1 glass block in the first box, 1 nether star in the second box and 1 glass block in the third box. In the bottom row, there should be 3 obsidian throughout the row. Make it identical to the image below.

Step-3 Simply drag the newly crafted beacon out of the crafting table menu and into your own inventory.

Beacons are not a necessary item in Minecraft, but they can be very useful as you can add potion effects to help with nearby tasks. Beacons also act as dependable landmarks since they spawn an unmissable beam of light into the sky, essentially advertising their exact location to afar. To both use and power a beacon, a pyramid structure of expensive mineral blocks will need to be constructed as a base for said beacon, as detailed above.
