Basalt Deltas in Minecraft

The Basalt Deltas are a biome found in the Nether dimension that was introduced in the Nether Update. They are known for their dark skies and large spikes made out of basalt. This is a biome where you can find blackstone in the landscape.

Description

The basalt deltas bear resemblance to a volcanic area. The biome is mostly noted for the abundance of both basalt and blackstone. Netherrack, gravel, and magma blocks will also generate here. The terrain is mountainous and cumbersome, making travel difficult. Its fog is dull lilac in color with ash particles floating around. Naturally generated structures such as nether fortresses and caves can be found here. They are extremely dangerous biomes because of their jagged terrain, countless lava pits, and a large number of hostile mobs.

Mob Spawns

Hostile mobs that are found in the basalt deltas are ghasts and magma cubes. Both of these have the ability to bump the player around with their attacks. This is quite dangerous as there are a large number of hidden cliffs and lava pools in this biome. The only passive mob you will come across here is the strider.

Basalt deltas are a barren biome with some of the most treacherous terrain in the Nether. They are extremely dangerous due to a large number of hostile mobs, lava pits, and cliffs. The biome has a gray color palette with ash floating around.
