Enchanted Apple

As far as what an enchanted apple is capable of, it can not only fill two hunger bars that are empty but also grant you buffs to assist you in your time of need. The list of buffs are as follows:

1. Absorption for 2 minutes.
2. Regeneration for 20 seconds. 30 seconds for Bedrock Edition
3. Fire Resistance for 5 minutes.
4. Resistance for 5 minutes.

As you can see, this item can be especially helpful if you are fighting multiple mobs and are on the verge of being overwhelmed. It can be especially helpful if you are in the Nether, given the various enemies within that realm that can set you on fire and grant you damage over time.

It should only be used in such situations in the first place since it is an extremely rare item to locate.

In the old versions of Minecraft, there was a time where you could actually create your own enchanted apples to harness and create your own stable supply. All that it took was eight solid blocks of gold and one regular apple being combined.

As of version 1.9 however, the recipe was removed, and ever since then, it has been impossible to craft enchanted apples without mods in place in order to do so. The only other way to craft an enchanted apple is through playing the “Legacy Console Edition” of the game or through going through older versions to have access to old features.

The only other way to gain an enchanted apple is through searching the world that you find yourself in.

Here is a list of locations that you can search through to possibly obtain the coveted rare item:

1. Dungeons
2. Strongholds
3. Mineshafts
4. Villager Blacksmith Houses
5. Ruined Portals
6. Desert Temples

The unfortunate thing is that even if you search through these locations, there is still no guarantee that you will find the item due to how rare they are. Thankfully they can be acquired through the creative mode search menu which will allow you to “cheat the game” in a sense if you switch between creative and survival mode.

There’s no disputing the usefulness and vast utility that an enchanted apple can grant in the right situation. If you’re surrounded and harried by mobs this is without a doubt one of the best food items you can have in-game. It will also be one of the most difficult items to acquire if you play by the rules. Keep that in mind, as you will no doubt have to invest a heavy amount of time into acquiring such a rare item.
