Vik joined YouTube in 2010 and after playing video games with his friends, he became interested in watching other YouTube users’ videos and creating their own. He ultimately made the decision to start his own channel.

“MW2 INSANE Game Winning Killcam! Triple Quickscope + Collateral - Vikstar123” is the oldest available video on Vik’s channel. In the video, he plays Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online and shows a triple kill he achieved.

As his following grew, he started to take it more seriously and expanded into Minecraft.

He joined the Sidemen in 2013, which led to a further increase in his popularity. Later, he would move in with three other Sidemen, living with them in a house from 2014 to 2018. He participates in the Dream SMP server as well.

He announced on his channel in January 2021 that he was giving up playing Call of Duty: Warzone because of a rise in cheating, claiming that if it wasn’t fixed, hackers would be “the death of the game”. The uproar that followed, along with criticism from several other well-known streamers, forced Activision to update the game’s anti-cheat software.

Vik has four YouTube channels. Since the late 2010s, his primary/original channel (Vikkstar123), which was founded in 2010, has become steadily less active. Similar to his first channel, his second channel, Vikkstar123HD, is only active twelve times a year. Since early 2020, his third channel, VikkstarPlays, has been dormant.

He capitalizes on the YouTube Shorts feature, which debuted in 2021, on his fourth channel, VikkstarShorts. Vik’s YouTube channels are no longer nearly as active as they once were due to his increased focus on his business endeavors and the main Sidemen videos as he entered his mid-20s.

However, given that all averages are incredibly conservative estimates, this figure could actually be $380,360.

Vik was born in Guildford, Surrey, in 1995. He relocated to Sheffield with his family when he was nine years old. He has two older brothers, neither of whom have ever appeared in any videos. From 2006 to 2013, Vik attended Silverdale School. He was given the opportunity to study Natural Sciences at University College London (UCL) during his A Levels, but he turned it down to focus on YouTube.

Vik had a relationship with Kayleigh Wordley from 2015 to 2017. He began dating Ellie Harlow in late 2018; they kept their relationship a secret until they announced their engagement in late 2021.

Vik has a massive fan following on various social media platforms. He has two YouTube channels besides his main channel. On Vikkstar123, where he has 7.6 million subscribers with more than 2.1 billion views, he posts gameplay videos of Minecraft and Roblox.

On VikkstarPlays, where he has 1.11 million subscribers and more than 142 million views, he posts let’s plays of various online games, including Rocket League, CS: GO, Fortnite and Human Fall Flat.

He has over 758k followers on Twitch. He hasn’t streamed in over 7 years, but he used to play PUBG and Minecraft on Twitch. On Twitter, Vik has 3.2 million followers and gets several likes and retweets.

Vik posts 2-3 videos per month. His content includes let’s play videos of several games, including Fortnite, Among Us, Call of Duty: Warzone and many more.
